'Life is not going to be easy these days with Mingyu mad at me. Maybe I should make him lunch to avoid his wrath?' Jeonghan thought and made his mind that instead of doing lunch just for Mingyu, he'll make it for everyone instead.
Jeonghan always loved cooking ever since he was young, so often he cooks for all of his brothers in place of auntie. Thankfully, everyone likes his cooking so he's not without any talent to contribute in the household.
Jeonghan took a sip of his soup and smiled brightly, "It's just right!"
Suddenly, he heard a sound of door creaking open. He craned his neck to see Choi Jisoo, the second eldest son in the family at seventeen years old. His grade are always first place at school, and he's also the student council president.
"Oh.. You're back, Jisoo. Would you like something to eat?" Jeonghan asked, tilting his head.
"Is everyone home yet?" Instead of answering Jeonghan, Jisoo threw him back with a question.
"Not yet. Auntie said that Seungcheol would be late and Mingyu is filming today."
"Ouh, right. And Jeonghan, hand it over and let me see it."
"Huh? What.." Jeonghan asked playing dumb. But when he saw the glare on Jisoo's face, he flinched and he knew he have to give up and just gave him his report card like what he was doing right now. He knew he couldn't get away with it.
'What am I going to do? My midterm grades were pretty bad...' Jeonghan cried when he heard Jisoo mumbled,"What kind of grades are these?"
"Did you forget what I said?" Jisoo looked at Jeonghan sternly and added, "I said that I can forgive an ugly boy, but definitely not a stupid one. Do you think you'll get anywhere with these grades?"
Jeonghan clenched fist was shaking ever so slightly and he barked, "Aren't you going a little too far?! So what if my grades are low! I did my best already! And besides, it's none of your business what grades I get!"
Jeonghan let out a little gasp of surprise and regretted his harsh words. 'Ah! Did I overdo it..?'
"For an orphan like you, if you can't even get decent grades then how do you expect to survive in this world? You should at least get a good education so you don't embarrass yourself in society." Jisoo huffed loudly.
Jeonghan pouted, looking down at the ground while holding back tears. 'He's always saying such harsh things to me; never caring how I feel. He's such a cold blooded person!'
Jeonghan shouted, "Fine! You're the best and I'm just a worthless human being, okay?! Couldn't you just say anything in a nicer way, Choi Jisoo." He immediately rushed into his bedroom, locking the door and lied down on his bed closing his eyes tightly.
'They're always treating me like that..
But what can I expect from them? After all, I'm an orphan..
No, Jeonghan, no! Don't drown in self pity! There's no need to get upset over a little thing like this!'
Jeonghan opened his eyes, sat up and clenched his fist,"Just wait! I'll show you all what I'm made of!"
Then he suddenly felt exhausted, so he laid back down again and slowly started to fall asleep.
