The sound of the school bell was heard all along the corridors, signifying the end of school. Everyone was quick to pack their bags and energetically ran out of the classroom.
Jeonghan was putting all of his books inside his bag when Miju came running towards him and said, "Come on, let's go! I hear they're giving out door prizes too."
"Ahhhhh... Sorry, I can't. I have to get home early today. I'll go with you some other time." He replied, shoving the remaining books inside his bag. He then quickly got out from his seat and walked out of the class before waving goodbye to Miju.
"What's with the rush? Is there something special going on today?" Miju murmured, waving back.
...
As he was out of the school, Jeonghan started to pick up his pace. 'That's right! Today is a really special day!' He thought.
After 7 minutes of running, he was now in front of his home. He hurriedly went it and shouted, "I'm home!"
"Welcome home, Jeonghanie!" A beautiful middle-aged woman said, smilling brightly as she came closer to him with an open arms.
'Today is a really special day because my favourite person is finally home from work!'
'My adoptive mother owns a children's clothing company. She's such a strong career woman and she's also the nicest person ever to me.'
Jeonghan ran into her arms, hugging her tightly, "You're done with work?"
"Yeah, I'm going to be less busy for awhile, so I'll be home more often now." She replied.
"And my Jeonghanie has grown taller again." She giggled, while caressing his hair lovingly.
'Whenever auntie is home and if there isn't anything special going on, we always gather around and eat dinner together like a family. With exception of uncle since he's been really busy for the past year or so and hasn't been able to come home...'
"Cheers!" They clinked their glasses together and drank it. Choi's brothers together with their mother and Jeonghan were now sitting on the dining room, having dinner together.
"I haven't had dinner with everyone in such a long time. It feels great just to be with my family." Mrs. Choi said happily, looking at her sons.
'But during time like this, I can't help but feel left out.' Jeonghan thought, seeing the Choi brothers hugging their mother while talking to each other so sweetly. They look so perfect that Jeonghan wanted to be a part of them too.
'Wah, it's so bright!' He rubbed his eyes, looking at the view in front of him as it was sparkling so brightly that it made them a picture of a perfect family.
And the warm family dinner was filled up with laughing and joking sounds.
...
After dinner, everyone gathered in the living room, sitting on a sofa beside each other. They were talking about stuff when Mrs. Choi said something unexpected.
"Since I've been so busy with work lately, I haven't had the chance to talk with all of you... I think it's about time that we officially bring Jeonghan into our family."
Jeonghan gaped. He was very shocked and his eyes almost popped out from his sockets, "What?!"
