----------------------So, before I begin, I just want to say that I'm really happy that people actually read my story (lol), it may not be alot but it still matters to me. So, in this chapter, it gets kind of boring, especially towards the end, and I apologize. I also wasnt sure what car to use, so I just randomly googled and decided on the Ford Evos, it looks cool to me. Lol okay so happy reading! ^-^

I quickly dressed and headed to the kitchen to grab some breakfast, or was it brunch? I shrugged my shoulders, and went through all the cupboards in the kitchen to find something appetizing ro eat. I settled for cereal and grabbed a carton of milk off the fridge.
I was halfway through eating when I noticed a figure standing at the door frame. I looked up and saw Craig (of course). He seemed amused at something, and since I wanted to be polite, I asked,”You want some?”
“No thanks, I already ate. By the way, your parents said you were going to show me around town today,” he grinned.
“Oh, uh, yeah. We’ll leave after I finish this,” I said, looking down at my cereal. Though in my mind I was furious my parents hadn’t told me anything. Life sucks Melody, so just suck it up. I suddenly thought of what happened in my room earlier and shuddered, not wanting to think of it.
“Are you going to stand there and watch me eat?” I asked incredulously. Craig chuckled but otherwise didn’t reply and left the room, leaving me to finish my cereal. I sighed, wondering where to bring him, especially since he didn’t seem like the type to enjoy shopping. I gulped down the remaining milk from the bowl and went to wash it.
Afterwards I went up to my room and took my black skinnies and a t-shirt, and changed in the bathroom. I went out to my room to take my Converse sneakers, stopping along the way.
“Craig?” I called. “Right behind you sweetheart,” he murmured. I spun around and saw Craig sitting cross-legged on my bed, waiting patiently. “Oh, uh, why don’t you go down first, I’ll be down shortly,” I suggested. He did so, and left the room.
I quickly grabbed a brush and yanked it through my hair, looking at my reflection in the full-length mirror beside the wardrobe. I brushed my heavy bangs sideways on my forehead, and decided that I should put on eyeliner or something. I ran to the bathroom, frantically searching for my makeup bag, when I suddenly thought back.
Why the hell was I so anxious to look so pretty and well-dressed? Well, not really, but still.. It’s not like Im going on a date or anything. I gave up my search, leaving the bathroom. I grabbed my phone, wallet and some money from my piggy bank (yes I still have one), and hurriedly stuffed them into a bag which I slung over my shoulder. I took my sneakers and half-ran out the door, taking two steps at a time when I got down the stairs. I stuck my feet in my sneakers and hastily tied them together. Seeing that Craig was not in the room, I went out of the house, locking the door behind me.
When I saw Craig I felt so disbelieved. He was leaning next to a Ford Evos, smiling. He seemed so radiant in the sun, and his hair turned brownish-reddish whenever the sun shone on it.
I walked over to him, questions racing through my mind. “Get in,” he invited, opening the passenger door for me. I immediately sat inside, feeling the softness and comfort of the leather beneath me. Once Craig got in the driver’s seat, I asked curiously,”Why do you have to rent a room if you own such an expensive car?”
“Uh, I, I cant bear to sell it to get a house,” he quickly replied. I let go of the topic, somehow not believing him. He turned the key in the ignition, and the engine purred softly. “You do know where to drive to right?” I asked. He nodded his head, staring straight out the road as he drove, clearly not wanting to talk.
I sat there silently, wondering if I should speak. I decided not to, since I didn’t know Craig that well. Besides, I didn’t want to get on the bad side of him on our first day. He parked the car at the roadside about fifteen minutes later as I fumbled with my seatbelt, trying to open it. We got out of the car, looking around.
“So, what do you suggest we do?” I hoped he had some good suggestions, I had run out of ideas.
“Hmm, what do you say we go shopping and grab a bite?” he gave such a breathtaking smile that it took me some time to answer his question. “Melody? Hello?” I realized Craig was waving his hands in front of my face. I blushed a little, hoping he wouldn’t guess I was thinking of him. But my blush probably gave it away, dammit..
“So..?” he prompted. “Oh, uh, sure. Sounds great,” I suppressed a smile, and he gave one in return. My heart fluttered as we went off to find a good shopping place. Finally, we stopped outside H&M, one of my favorites.
“Come on!” I pleaded excitedly, tugging at his hand. He chuckled and went in after me. We decided to find my clothes first, before finding his.
The first thing he picked out was a skimpy looking dress which would hardly cover my body. I frowned at him, and he gave an all-too-innocent smile. He put it back and chose a deep purple dress. I smiled approvingly, and he held it as we went around the endless racks of such wonderful clothes. In the end, I tried on that dress, a baggy band tee, hot shorts and 2 tank tops. I decided to get them all, torn between which ones to choose.
It was now Craig’s turn. We headed to the men’s department. I chose black skinnies for him (I chose them just to match mine, really), a black button up shirt, a skull belt and a white V-neck sweater. He seemed to approve of all my choices, and we headed to the cashier to pay for our purchases. Mu heart sank when I had to give two $50 notes to the cashier.
Once we were done we began looking around for a nice restaurant to eat at. We were both famished, what with us shopping for nearly two hours. We agreed on Swensens, even though I regretted it, thinking of the amount of money I’d have to pay for our meals.
Looking at the menu, I chose fish and chips, lemon tea and a banana split for dessert (greedy I know), but this was one of the few times I would splurge on food. Surprisingly, Craig ordered the same as me. I shrugged it off, thinking maybe we coincidentally had the same taste.
We made small talk while waiting for our food to arrive, asking each other really random questions like our favorite foods, colors and the like. I glanced up earnestly as our food arrived, devouring it. Once the main course was done, we requested for our dessert, making more small talk. Some
how I didn’t feel awkward with Craig, as if he were my best friend or something, not that I had one..
Dropping out of school meant that I didnt have many friends, though I do keep in contact with some of them. Anyway, our ice cream came, and we were bloated by the time we were done. My phone vibrated suddenly, and I saw that I had a text from my mom.
'where are you? i hope craig is having fun. when will you 2 be back? loveyou.'
I thought a moment, before replying.
'We just finished dinner, leaving fr hme now. Loveyou too.'
