(the first two random stanzas kind of go together, but then the next three don't relate to the first two yet kind of relate to each other.)
Humanity is so fragile.
All that we are is tentative,
In the passing of hours
And years.
Be careful;
Don't brush past anything that matters.
It'll be a mistake.
"The war is over," we might whisper
when our bodies cannot sustain us further.
But we will be whisked away into
A haven, a sanctuary
where we will never yearn for what we love,
only find our loved ones, our loved places.
You're so cold, but a sweater can't fix that.
It's in your blood, it froze your soul.
I can't find a story you've never told;
My mind grows sore as it runs from you
but the thoughts are all I have to choose.
What's getting to you?
I bet there's no way
I could get to you.
It's my desire
despite the zigzag pattern,
oh the labyrinth I'd have to cross.
My austerity is self-evident
I breathe it in more than oxygen.
Just a smile, just a word
How are you today,
I hope not anyone's heard,
If you'll only tell me.
