When it was finally lunch time, I decided to find somewhere quiet to spend the hour in. Currently, I was outside looking for shade.

Up ahead I spotted a weeping willow. The perfect spot! The drooping branches and leaves were like a canopy and would hide away everything inside. I made my way through them and leaned against the trunk.

I sighed, hearing the few people who had chosen to eat outside. What would it feel like to laugh of pure joy, to be happy, truly happy? That was just a question, gloating around in the confines of my brain. I pulled my legs up to my chest and rested my head on them.

My eyes were shut, even when I felt a presence around me. I heard low murmurs, too quiet for me to hear. I felt someone nudge my leg with their foot and then pull away.

"I felt that," I said. Instead of stopping, they just continued. I sucked in a breath through gritted teeth and opened my eyes. I hate when other people touch me, like I don't get enough of that at home.

Looking around, I noticed the tree now had lil ol'e me and four other boys. One was the same guy as before, the one that busted into the classroom. I couldn't help but stare... those eyes.... so green... I snapped out of it when someone cleared their throat. "You seem lonely," one of the guys stated. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"So go away."

One of the other guys was staring at me. I only caught a hint of what he was saying. "...know I've...somewhere..." Okayyy then...

Suddenly he grinned as he shouted, "That's it! You're the grocery girl!"

My eyes widened as I blushed. I didn't know anyone had seen that!!! Gawd, so embarrassing.

"Ermm..." Yeah, noes not such a good time to stop talking.

"Hey, is that a chimpanzee over there?" I hoped that would distract them for a good while. I made a beeline for the school entrance. Before I could get to the doors, though, strong arms wrapped themselves around my waist.

My whole stomach was aching and covered in bruises due to being kicked a couple nights ago. For some reason I didn't want these arms to let go if me. The little shocks and tingles that passed between us felt good... warm even. I shivered and then pulled away, trying to act unaffected.

I knew he was smirking as he tightened his grip around me, causing a small whimper to escape me. I heard a growl as I turned around and saw his eyes were completely pitch black...

He was definitely not normal.
