"You clean up well" Marsha complemented awkwardly looking at the boy wearing Chicago Bulls cap and he chuckled nervously. "Yeah, I know the hat and the hoodie aren't very...enticing" he said quietly and she smiled at him as she took of the cap.

"Why you're wearing it then?"she asked looking at his neatly combed and gelled black hair and he blushed nervously as he shook his head. "I didn't know what to wear" he said slowly in embarrassment and she snorted as she watched the blushing boy in glasses. "Do you" she said simply placing his cap in his hands then she made her way ahead of him.

"Okay" he said softly with a smile as he stayed behind to take off his hoodie since he had on a shirt underneath. He watched the girl that walked ahead of him then jogged towards her because he already knew he was head over heels for her.

"So. What's that?" Marsha asked motioning to a large glass building and David glanced away from the side of her face to it. "That's actually a private sector business owned by one of the richest meant in the world. And his wife" David said observing the building and Marsha hummed in understanding.

Once again they went into a brief period of silence.

"You know. You're not really doing your job when all you do is look at me" Marsha said and chuckled to lighten the mood and he blushed as he averted his gaze. "Oh. Sorry. I really didn't realize-" "It's okay. I'm immune to it" Marsha said cutting him off as she glanced at him then to the things ahead of her.

"What do you mean?" he asked suddenly inquisitive and she went quiet so he knew that he stroke somewhere. He was about to apologize but she bet him with a response. "Most people usually look at me only because of my appearance. Only few even know me"she explained quietly and a wave of guilt washed over him because he knew he was a victim too.

She continued. "Sometime I wish I wasn't...'pretty' or 'hot' or whatever so that people could give me a chance to express myself. Then again no one needs to know the real me"she said furrowing her eyebrows over the one she was explaining herself then blew out an angry breath. "I can give you a chance." David surprised himself by saying and she stopped in her tracks.

Immediately anxiety  twisted his stomach at the fear that he had yet again said the wrong thing.

"That is if you let me in" he added stopping as well meeting her gaze. Her eyes were narrowed skeptically at him and the tension between them felt like a ballon blown up too much ,waiting to be popped. "Or not. You don't have to-" "Okay" Marsha said cutting him off and he stared at her in confusion. "What-".

"I'll try. Just don't run away when you get to know me" she said staring at in and he nodded as he said quickly "I won't". "Okay"she said with her features softening gradually and he offered a shy smile. "Okay" he mimicked and she chuckled with a shake of her head.

Inside his heart was bursting open.
