"How does my head hurt" I thought to myself. "Where am I?" I moved my legs and felt the chill of fresh blankets until I ran into something. Another leg. I opened my eyes and turned my head on my pillow. There she was. Lying next to me. Breathing.
"I did it again." I took a deep breath and wiped the sweat off my forehead.
I leaned up on my right arm. Lacing my fingers between hers I looked down and looked over our rings.
"I was dreaming. It was a dream."
I turned my head and peered over my left shoulder. I smiled at the two cribs which held our kids only a few feet away from my bed side. With the smile stuck to my face I turned back and was greeted by her warm loving eyes.
"Are you okay?" She asked squeezing my hand.
"You are my everything." I told her leaning down and kissing her.
"Back at you..." She said softly calling for another kiss.
I kissed her and with my hands still holding hers with a grin on my face I put my head back down on the pillow.
"Everything." I repeated to her as I drifted back to sleep.
