Who else here is a high schooler? *counts raised hands*
Okay, before I start to complain, I'm just going to say that high school is not total hell. *hires the Avengers to S.H.I.E.L.D. me (get the pun?) from anyone who thinks that high school is hell*
I mean, I've been a part of this wonderful society known as high school since August of 2015, which was the start of my freshman year. I've gone through some crap, I promise you, but overall, it's not that bad.
Sure, the work is a hell of a lot harder.
Sure, I fell in love and then got my heart broken.
Sure, one of my best friends and I got in a major fight (and then resolved the conflict).
But it can't be that bad, right?
See, I'm an eternal optimist. I usually see the brighter side of things, and I count this as one of my better qualities. I've made some pretty amazing friends in high school and I've deepened my friendships with others. I mean, seriously guys, I can talk to the male species now. That's got to be progress, right? I don't know... I mean, my year has been pretty good so far with a few bumps here and there, but overall, I've had a good time. The school dances were really fun (though they played super crappy music at carnival). And I got to watch one of my best friends fall in love (after which I proceeded to threaten the guy [who is also my cousin] that I would rip his man parts off and glue them to his forehead if he broke her heart). Also, my other half (who lives in New Jersey) found a guy who treats her right and who is perfect for her.
So, high school isn't that bad.
Why don't we comment on some of our high school experiences? Good, bad, anything. I want to know.
