I ignored the rest of the conversation happening downstairs as I put on my daily amount of make up and brushed my hair. I opened the door and found Niall nearly jumping up and down just outside of it.
“You okay?” I asked, walking out of the doorway.
“I’ve had to pee for twenty minutes. What the fuck do you do in there? Actually I don’t care,” he said and ran passed me and into the bathroom, slamming the door behind him. I shook my head and walked downstairs, trying to decide what I wanted to do today before the party.
Once I got downstairs I saw that Harry and Zayn were both gone. Yay. I only have a few hours before I need to be back here and get party ready so…coffee run? Yeah, coffee run. Maybe even a reading in the park would be nice too. Yes, I think it will be nice. Sometimes I just have the best ideas. I walked to my suitcase and grabbed some high-waisted shorts and a Rolling Stones tee shirt accommodated by my lovely converse. Just as I slipped on my shoes Niall walked down the stairs.
“Going somewhere?” he asked.
“Just to get coffee and maybe read or something,” I said.
“Mind if I join you?” he asked. Do I?
“Um, do you have a car?”
“Yes.”
“Then you’re in. Let’s go,” I said, throwing my skateboard on the couch and running out the door with Niall.
The drive there was pretty much a laugh-fest as Niall told some embarrassing party stories. I think I nearly peed they were so funny. We pulled up at the little coffee shop off campus and walked in. It’s such a cute place. There are old looking, but comfortable, couches and bookcases across from them. There’s a few tables here and there and some one-on-one sort of chairs and tables set up. On the other side of the sitting area there’s more eating type tables and chairs facing a small stage with a piano and microphone for open-mic nights and whatnot. The walls are pretty dark and covered in cool paintings of everything you could imagine; from beaches to witches to bands. This is one of my favorite places to come. The Cold Corner Café.
“I think I’ve only ever been here once,” Niall said as we stepped inside. I gasped and he laughed.
“Well you will be coming here a lot more if you’re going to be hanging around me,” I said. He smiled and we walked up to the counter to order some drinks.
“Hi what can I ge-Logan? Oh my gosh I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever! Where have you been?” said the worker. I looked down from the menu and saw the familiar hazel eyes that the voice belonged to.
“Leah? It has been a while, hasn’t it?” I said. Leah’s soft hazel eyes are so sweet as well as her medium length blonde hair that is pulled into a ponytail.
“Too long! How are you?” she asked. Okay, here me out on this one. Leah and I both go to the same college, but have no classes together. We were pretty close when we were younger until our last year of high school when I liked to go and party and my recklessness really came out and she didn’t like it at all. We were going to dorm together and everything, but I’m pretty happy we ended up not. She’s honestly the only person that knows stuff about my life. I just…don’t make an effort with her anymore. We are so different. But I guess I’ll end up needing a girl friend sooner or later right?
“I’m good. School is good. This is my friend Niall, Niall this is my old friend Leah. She goes to our school,” I smiled.
“Yeah I think we have geography together?” he asked. She blushed at him.
Wait.
Leah blushed at Niall? No way.
“Yeah we do,” she smiled. Oh my God this is not happening. Leah likes Niall? AHAHAHA. Sorry, I needed to get that out.
