So today I'm meeting up with my lovely girlfriend Maya!
She can be a little mean and stubborn but that's just her. We are kinda considered the popular kids at our school but I'm the only one who has the need to stay outta trouble.
Maya is kinda a bully but I manage to still love her.
(I know your puking guts but hold on)
We are meeting at a hiking trail.

He gets to the hiking trail *

We talk for a few hours and she holds my hand when we walk around.
Where's the spark, like when I just have to take one look into Rileys eyes.

We talk and tal for what seems like forever but not in the good way. All she talks about is herself and how to make other people's lives miserable.
It's annoying. In these past four hours I don't think I even got ten words out.

Maya: well I need to go do some scheming I'll talk to ya later alright.
Me: alright bye
Maya: bye

Then she kisses me. And memories flood in.

There's. Riley and I riding on the white horse. Riley and I kissing. Riley and I on our first date. Riley and I holding hands. In every memory Riley is happy. I haven't seen her happy since forever. LITTERALLY it's been about 5 years. Wow. Look at her. She's beautiful. No scars on her arms, no dark clothing, no tear stains on her cheeks, just her happy and smiling. Wow I miss that smile.
Then there are memories from the opposite. I see Maya yelling at her, killing her confidence, killing her spirit, I see Maya kicking her and hitting her, but one thing stands out the most. It's that Riley isn't Riley anymore. She's gone.

I pull away from the kiss and stepped back.

Me: no!
Maya: Lucas what is it!
Me: get away, you hurt her, you broke her, she's gone! I cant be with you anymore.

Then I run and I run as fast as I can to my car.
I then drive to rileys house and climb t her window.
I'm crying. No I'm sobbing.
She put her through so much pain.
She killed her.
And all the times Riley was coming to me and I never believed her.

I bang on the window and she opens it.
I run in and hug her.
I hug her as good as I can just to make her feel safe.
She hugs back and all I can do is cry.
Crying because I wasn't there.
Crying because of her pain.
Crying because she tried to hard to stay strong.

Me: Riley I'm so sorry.
Riley: for what you did nothing.
Me: exactly I did nothing! I didn't help you, I was with Maya.
Riley: why are you even here Maya would kill me.
Me: I won't let her.
Riley: she has powers.
Me: what?
Riley: she told me. She put you under her spell.
Me: that's impossible.
Riley: thanks for believing me.
We pull out of the hug.
Me: I'm sorry so what about the spell.
Riley: I don't know anything about her powers but she put you in a love spell.
Me: what we is?
Riley: "care is all I want and need please help him fall in love with me" she writes it on a piece of paper.
Me: why didn't you just say it?
Riley: because it would work.
Me: well you wouldn't need help for me to fall in love with you.
Riley: what does that me-
Then I kiss her. I kiss her deep with passion. It's what I've always wanted to do for 5 years.

We break the kiss and she gasps for air.
But then she smiles.
Her old Riley smile.
It's not forced.
It's not sad.
It's happy.
