The music consumed him on the stage as he sung his heart out to the screaming crowd. There was nothing but him and the music, the music that had become his entire life. They didn't play in the garage anymore, switching it out for massive stages and giant, screaming crowds. Lights flashed around him and the band as he moved up and down the stage, egging the crowd on.
She stood right in the front, cheering him on as loud as she could, a proud smile gracing her face. He still hadn't asked her. Still hadn't told her. Still hadn't kissed her. He was going to change that.
The song ended with the crash of the drums, giving him time to get his breath back. His chest heaved as he moved across the stage in his heavy black boots. When he could finally breathe again, he brought the mic up to his mouth, bringing out screams and declarations of love from the crowd. He gave his drummer a nervous glance and was met with a cocky grin and a thumbs up.
"You know, there's someone I want to bring up here tonight. She's the most amazing girl that I've ever known, and I want you to give her a round of applause." He stuck his arm into the crowd, grasping her hand and pulling her onto the stage. She clung to him out of shyness, and he eagerly pulled her closer, to where their faces were nearly touching. Applause rang throughout the crowd, pierced by a few wolf whistles, causing her face to turn pink.
He turned his head towards the crowd, speaking into the mic again. "Do you fuckers know what I'm gonna do now?" He asked with a grin. More applause as he dropped the mic and pulled her face to his, kissing her full on the lips. She responded instantly, kissing him back with every bit of passion that he had. Applause roared around them like a storm, but all that mattered was the two of them.
He could feel it in his gut. His insides felt like fire, burning through everything, completely demolishing him, and she was seconds away from having him on his knees for her . He twisted his fingers in her hair, running his tongue over her lip ring. Her body was pressed up against his, and he could feel her hands splayed out across his back as she tried to pull him closer.
When they finally broke apart, the pink on her face had doubled, paired up with the biggest smile he had ever seen on her face.
"I love you," he whispered. She laughed, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"I love you too." And with that she stole another kiss before disappearing down into the crowd, leaving him to the music that meant so much to each of them.
