Chapter 5 ~Nothing Will Never Happen To You~

~(Y/N)'s POV~

"Isabel, could please come over here and help me?" It has been a couple months since my first training lesson with Hanji. "Don't worry (Y/N)! I'm coming!" Isabel started running towards me with that same grin on her face. Today, Isabel and I were training together because Hanji had to talk with "Commander Eyebrows". "Woah, Isabel you shouldn't be carrying all those at one time. You could drop them." I picked up some of the 3DMG out of her arms and started walking to the storage room. "Hey! I'm a tuff girl. I can probably pick you up and run a mile without a drop of sweat." She gave me a challenging smirk. "I would rather not, please."

As we walked in silence, "HEY! (Y/N)! HEY! OVER HERE!", or what now used to be silence. Isabel and I turned around to see Hanji speeding towards us like a maniac (Which she is). Once she stopped, she took a deep breath and put her hands on her hips. "Hoowee. I was looking all over for you. Commander wants to see that pretty little face of yours in his office." She leaned up right in front of my face. I could feel her breath as she whispered, "And talk about shortie and your relationship." She stood straight up and smirked. "Hey! What did you just say to her? (Y/N), what did she say? Are you talking about me? If you are talking about my flat-chest, I will personally cut your di-" "Okay! I will go see him right now then." I cut off Isabel's rambling.

"I will take these and you go on up to his office. We'll see you at dinner." Hanji took the 3DMG out of my arms and started to push Isabel down the hall. "Okay."

I was walking down the hall thinking about what Erwin wanted to know. 'Maybe he doesn't want me to be here. What if I have to leave? That would be great, but what about Levi. I can't just leave Levi. I mean, we are still friends right? Right? Oh, I don't even know." As I was thinking to myself, I bumped into something hard. "What the actual fuck? Tch." I looked up and saw Levi dusting himself off. Once he looked up and saw me he froze. "Oh, it's you." We looked at each other. "Yeah, it's me." After O said that, I realized how stupid that was and looked away embarrassed. Then I heard something I never thought I would hear. A chuckle. My head shot straight up and looked at him with an almost terrified expression. He had a very microscopic smile one his face. "What?" He looked at me with the same pissed off expression he always had on. "N-nothing."

Over the past couple of months, Levi and I talked to each other sometimes, but they weren't how they used to be. When we were younger, we used laugh and joke, talk about the future, now our conversations are usually short and awkward.

"Where are you going?" Levi looked at me with those stormy eyes. "To go see Erwin. Hanji said he wanted to talk to me." Oh shit, I totally forgot about that. "Okay." "I should probably start going then." I started to walk away, when he grabbed my wrist. "I'm coming with you." I look at him a surprised face. "Huh? Why?" "He could do something to you." With that he started walking with his hand holding my wrist.

The same old Levi. He always used to protect me from all the other guys when we were younger. Always giving people a glare when they tried talk to me. I miss those days. The days where we were best friends.

~Knock knock~

"Name and business." "Levi and (Y/N). You needed something." I looked up at the door and saw that Levi was almost glaring at it. Erwin opened up, his eyebrows still has big as my hopes and dreams. "I only needed (Y/N)." Erwin looked down upon us. Levi was definitely glaring at Erwin. "Fine then. (Y/N), I will see you at dinner then." Erwin was gently trying to push me into his office. Levi didn't leave until Erwin had closed the door all the way.

"Umm, you needed to see me Commander." I asked. "Yes, I wanted to ask a few more questions. Take a seat." I sat down on the wooden chair. "Okay, how's training? I heard from Hanji you are improving greatly in all the skills you have learned. She said you have the more than enough skills to become a squad leader." He looked amused. "Well, yes. I have been learning a lot during these few months." I said, thinking about all the lessons and teachings I had to learn.

"That's good. Now to the point." Erwin's face got serious. I waited, listening. "We have an expedition in one month. I want you to join us. We need all the people we can get." He said. When I could finally decipher his words, I thought I was going to cry. "W-why? Me? But... but.. I.. I..." I couldn't make any words. "Please, (Y/N). We need  you." Erwin looked almost desperate. "I can't go out there! I'm not skilled enough to go! I going to get myself killed, and probably get other people killed too for trying to save me!" I was practically screaming at him. I was thinking about all the horrid thoughts about being killed. But also dragging people into my disaster? No. I can't let that happen.

"(Y/N)." Erwin said in a sturdy, but calming voice. "I know that this is asking too much for a women who has no experience outside the walls, not enough training, and is scared. But the people who live inside these walls need the information, so one day we will be able to leave. Please (Y/N). We need your help to fight against the titans. Please."

I started to think about the people. I don't want to be trapped in these shitty walls. I want to see the world. I don't want to die without seeing the ocean. I want to explore. That's what the rest of the other people want. I want everybody to live a happy life outside the walls too. 

I looked up at Erwin, swallowing all the what-ifs that were about to spill out of my mouth. "I will join you on the expedition." I stared into his eyes with seriousness. All he did was give me a soft smile and nodded. "You are dismissed."

I want to go outside.

~Levi's POV~

Where is she? It's been awhile now. She should be back by now. What if that bastard is touching her? What if he is trying to get her to sleep with him? What if she's enjoying it? Oh god no. No, she would never do that.

I was about to get up from my seat from the table, until I saw the door open. (Y/N) walked through the doors with a serious face. She got her food and started to walk to our table. She looked almost mad, but I could tell she was just thinking.

"Heya! (Y/N)! Bout' time you come and eat with us. Levi looked like he was going to explode with every passing second. Hurry up! I don't want to go to the showers alone." Isabel screamed as (Y/N) was sitting down. "Sorry. Commander just wanted to ask me a few things." I looked at her, but she seemed like she wasn't going to tell us what he said. "Oh yeah, Eyebrows. What he ask? Was he trying to get some?" I elbowed Isabel in the stomach. "Ouch! Big bro, why you do that? I was just kiddin'."

"No, he was not trying to get some. He just... he.. well.." (Y/N) really didn't want to tell us. "Come on (Y/N). Tell us what's going on." Farlan said in a reassuring voice. "Okay, nut please don't freak out. I want to do it for the people. I'm going on the expedition that's in one month."

I almost dropped my cup of tea. What? That fucking bastard. He wants her to go outside. Where she could die. Fuck no.

"Oh... really? You're joking right? You barely have enough experience! Is he that crazy?! Oh my god (Y/N)! I'm so sorry! I don't want you to die! I'm so sorry we dragged you into this! This is our fault! We shouldn't have... no.. no." Isabel was crying. "Isabel, it's okay. I want to die, knowing I was trying to give the people their freedom." (Y/N) got up from her spot and hugged Isabel.

"Did he really ask you to go outside?" Even Farlan was speechless. "Guys, I will be okay. And besides, I will be out there with you guys right. We'll protect each other, right?"

"Of course (Y/N)!" Isabel hugged (Y/N).

"Now come on. I still have one month to get better. Let me eat so I can grow stronger." (Y/N) joked and started to eat. Isabel stopped crying, Farlan watched as (Y/N) ate, and I couldn't stop think about how to kill Erwin.

After (Y/N) finished eating, her and Isabel went to their rooms. I watched as she walked away.

"You know, now you only have one month to confess. You need to tell before something happens to her out there. I f she does die, you will never be able to forgive yourself." Farlan walked away as I stood there.

Don't worry. I will tell her. And I won't let anything happen to her.
