Chapter 2 ~Here We Are~

 ~Present Time: Year 844~

 ~Levi's POV~

"Hey! We're being followed!" Farlan yelled at me.  "There are four, 50 meters behind!" "I've got to hand it to them, working even at a time like this..." Isabel said while speeding up. "There aren't that many today." Farlan looked behind. "Hmph. Those Military Police guys just don't learn." There was a smug grin on Isabel's face. "Hey, Levi! Wasn't that cool, what I said?" She said while looking at me. Idiot. I thought. "Don't be stupid." I looked back at her. "Anyway, we can't afford to lead them straight to our hideout." "It's a pain but..." They are a little too good today. "Farlan." "Yeah." "Isabel." "What?" "HERE WE GO!"

With that we sped up and went into the town. "YEEAH!!" Isabel screamed. "OUTTA MY WAY!" Isabel pushed a man down on his face. That girl. So reckless. I thought while shaking my head at her behavior. I saw I was about to fly into a man. "WAAAGH!!" I pushed his cart over. The man jumped out of the way and fell on his stomach. "Damn it... YOU DAMNED HOODLUMS!!" I heard the man yell at us with his fist in the air.

"Hey. There still coming after us. And they're even closer than before." Farlan said while giving a kind of uneasy look. I looked behind us and saw that they were closer. They were at least 40 meters behind us now.

"Not bad for Military Police! So today they've decided to get serious and actually try to catch us?" Isabel chuckled. "Things must be so quiet topside they have time for a business trip Underground. Shouldn't they be off taking the King's temperature or something? What a bother." Farlan sighed out. "No... Something's still strange." I said. In the first place, there's no way those lazy MPs would work this hard. To be able to fly so straight through this rabble would mean... But it can't be... I thought.

"They may not be Military Police." I looked forward. "What the?" Isabel asked confused. "I'll make sure. Double back fast at this next pillar." I said while looking at a rock pillar. With that, we used our 3DMG and hooked onto the pillar. As soon I got back around the pillar, I saw them. They did the same thing as us.

"WHOO! NOT BAD!" Isabel said with a big grin on her face. "..." I looked at her. She looked at me with a fake annoyed expression and said , "...I mean shit." Isabel tried glaring at the people following us. I looked back at them and said, "Just what I expect from the Survey Corps." Farlan looked at me with a shocked expression. "What? The Survey Corps? Are you sure?!" I looked back at him. "Yeah. I saw the marks on their backs when they passed by." I said while remembering the design on their green cloaks. "It was... The "Wings Of Freedom." Isabel looked at me. "Aren't the Survey Corps the ones who go outside the wall and actually fight titans?" "I guess real battle-hardened troops are something else!" "Levi." Farlan said. "I got no intention of getting mixed up with these guys. But now that they're after us, they won't be easy to loose." I said. "I'll take 'em on! I'll make every one of 'em cry!" Isabel had a very determined face on. "Damn it... This has become an ordeal." Farlan said while rubbing the side of his head. "If we get caught they're sure to confiscate this gear! Even if we get off without punishment, it's going to be a pain." Farlan said. "Then just don't get caught." That was all I said. "Yeah, don't get caught!" "Gee, thanks!" Farlan said with sarcasm. "You both get it, right?" "O'course!" "Yeah, yeah."

With that, we each went off in different directions. I went straight while Isabel went left and Farlan went right. I looked behind and saw that there were two going after me. Two officers with them, huh? Now then... Let's see how good the Survey Corps really is. I thought. I then turned my gas on to give me an extra boost. I kicked off the buildings beside me. I did a sharp turn and kicked off a wooden wall so that I was upside down. I saw nobody. "... Lost 'em, huh?"

I landed on the back onto the ground. "That got a little crazy... I hope.. None of them crashed." I then heard a crash behind me and quickly turned my head around to face the noise. "!!!!!!!" A man suddenly jumped up and tackled me to the ground. I flipped him over and landed onto the ground. There should be one  more... Is he off hiding somewhere?  I thought looking around and shooting my wire at a building. When I looked up, I saw him. He got out his swords and cut my wires. He then pushed me into a building. The impact was so strong, the air was taken out of me. I fell to the ground on my back. I slowly sat up. "You brought him down, Erwin?" This 'Erwin' looked down at me. He studied me. "... No."  I then took out my hook that was  hiding in the heel of my boot. I ran at full speed and the blond man. "Ngh..." I kicked his sword out of his hand. The other guy stepped in front of 'Erwin'. My hook hooked around his sword. "STOP! LOOK AROUND YOU!"

"Leggo, you bastard!" I turned around and saw Isabel kicking around her. "Squad Leader, are you all right?" The girl that was holding Isabel said. "Don't waste your strength, Isabel." Farlan said. I looked back at 'Erwin'. "..." I said nothing. "Yes. You both did well." The blond looked back at me with a serious face. "I have some questions to ask you. Where did you get your hands on this?" He said motioning to the 3DMG. Nobody said anything. There was just silence. "Your vertical maneuvering skills were excellent. Who taught you?" Silence. He then looked straight at me. "You are the leader, right? Have you ever received military training?" I stared at him and said nothing. "That is the face of a man... Who wants to kill me and escape." He looked at the other guy. "I'd like to avoid any rough treatment if I can ." The other man just nodded and grabbed a fistful of my hair and shoved my face into a puddle. "Ngh..." "I'll ask again."

 ~(Y/N)'s POV~

My (h/c) was gently flowing behind me while my (e/c) were looking around. I was walking around town, when I saw some guy on the ground with his cart pushed over. I ran over to him and helped him off. I started to dust off his clothing. "Thank you." He said. "Are you all right sir?" I said looking at him. "Yes." We both started to pick up his bags and put them in his cart. "Who did this to you?" I said once I placed the last bag on his cart. "Just some stupid people." "I will go and find them to make sure they apologize." I said with an angry look. "It's alright. Just thank you for helping." "You're welcome."

I started to walk away to find the people who did this. As I was walking, I heard some yelling and water splashing. When I looked around the corner, I saw some people. What surprised me was that I saw the Survey Corps there shoving some guys face in a puddle, while two other people were held with swords against their necks. "Very well. I'll join the Survey Corps." I heard the guy say looking at the man before him. I couldn't see the guy's face. He was facing away from me.

Once I saw the 3DMG, I knew that these were the people who pushed the man down. That's what got me mad. "Hey! You!" They all turned around and looked at me. I just stared at the blond man with blue eyes. "You think it's funny to shove people down and don't even bother to help? And also shoving people's faces into dirty sewage w-." I stopped once I saw the mans face. Levi? Is that you?  I just stared at the man that looked like Levi Ackerman. My best friend when I was younger. Levi Ackerman. My closest thing to a family. Levi Ackerman. The one who broke the promise we made. "Levi?" I asked in a whisper. He just looked at me with a shocked expression. "What? You know this man?" "I think we should take her too, Commander. She could be part of their little group." "Okay, let's go then."

A man with dirty brown hair took both of my hands and tied them behind my back. He took me in front of the trio. So I couldn't see his face. But, I could barely hear what sounded like , "(Y/N)."

~Levi's POV~

 That can't be her. Could it? It does look like her. I stared at her while she stared at me. Then she said it. Levi? Is it her? I just stared at her as she walked in font of me. If it is her, then she would have the ring. I quickly looked down at her right hand. There it was. The promise ring. It is you. "(Y/N)."
