Chapter Five:
The Mall
It's been a week since Trent has been here, and we've actually gotten along.
"We're going out." Trent said, walking into the kitchen.
More like strutting.
"What?" I ask.
"Me and you, are going out. So, let's go." he says, and I sigh.
"Let me get ready." I huff.
I stand, and walk to my room.
I change into white skinny jeans, a white shirt, and a white and light blue Varsity jacket, with white high tops.

I pin my red hair into a bun and put my contacts in.
I shove my phone in my pocket, and go downstairs.
"Let's go, baby blue." he smirk.
I roll my eyes.
"Let's just go. Where are we going?" I ask.
"To the mall." he says.
"Why?" I asks, pushing up my sleeves.
"Cause, we can." he says.
I sigh, knowing I have to go with him.
We get in his sleek black car and drive off.
We soon pull up to the mall, and we get out and walk inside.
"What are we doing here?" I ask, walking next to him.
"I'm throwing a party." he says..
"Why?" I ask.
"It's a school's over party. I throw one every year." he says.
"What about my Mom and Dad?" I ask.
"I asked them, and as long as we don't break anything, they're fine with it." he says.
I mumble a string of words out of his hearing range.
"So, why'd you drag me here?" I ask.
"Cause, I know you don't have a single dress in that closet of yours, so I'm buying you, a dress." he smirks.
"A dress? I don't wear dresses. I wear jeans and t-shirts." I scoff.
"So, why don't you be a girl for one night?" he asks, glancing sideways at me.
I simply shrug.
"You're not buying me a dress." I say.
"Yes, I am. It's a thank you gift for letting me stay." he says.
"If it was up to me, you wouldn't even be there. They forced me to." I say.
"I've been by myself my whole life, why not for a single summer." I mutter.
"What?" he ask, stopping in the middle of the corridor.
"Okay, two weeks ago, was the first time I've seen my parents in three months." I say.
"Are you serious?" he asks, his eyebrows furrowed
"Yeah, they kind of forgot about me after Aaron died, and dove themselves into their work." I say.
