It had been nearly a month since the last time I've seen her. It'd been a month since that horrific storm, too... until they came back. September 4th was the first time I've seen her, but it wasn't the last. I marked off October 2nd on my goat calendar. It was a present from a frien- don't ask. "29 more days 'till I have to hand out candy to those little... trolls." I sighed, as you can probably tell, I'm not really one to "donate" or give stuff away. Lightning struck the ground as thunder shook the Earth, "Again?" Storms aren't that uncommon for living next to the "Enchanted Forest" as some called it. But I just think it's a stormy area. I sat down in my lush recliner, "Ah, to be rich is to be comfortable." I hadn't even noticed I had fallen asleep until lightning had struck right outside my window, "Ahh! What the-! What's going on? Grr." I checked the time, 12:03am, I was tired and cranky, so I climbed the stairs that led up to my room. But I couldn't sleep. Every time I nodded off, I saw... her-! She was.. floating! Right outside my window. But why? I unlatched the hook and cranked my window open. "Hello? W-what in the world?" She really was floating, and she seemed to have a trail of smoke or fog surrounding her. "Hello? Ma'am?" But she was no Miss, she was something much, much more than that. Something I'll never know, something I shouldn't know. She put one finger over her lips and waved her other hand toward the sky. The dark clouds had faded away, the rain came to a drizzle, then stopped all together. Who was she? What was she? I quickly pulled my window back down and latched it up tight. She then flew up into the sky, a golden smile on her face.

 A month later...

"I almost expected her to show up today." I said as I marked November 7th off of my calendar, I got a new one. This time it was a fairy. That's what you get when you have six little nieces. There was a storm outside, not a bad one. That's part of the reason why I figured she wouldn't show up again, she only ever showed herself when there was a pretty bad storm going on. But so far, we were fine. No tornadoes.. yet! You never know what to expect in this town. A few days past... "I guess she really isn't coming." I walked up to my room, I never thought I'd miss someone I didn't know so much, having her around was... comforting, in a sense. She made the storms, that could destroy our town, disappear. I went to sleep, but not without dreaming of her. "Goodnight." I sprang up from my bed, I had heard a slight whisper of sorts creep into my ear. I soon after fell asleep, but not because I thought it was in my head. Because I knew it wasn't. I knew it was her, watching me, protecting me, caring for me.
