ELIZA'S POV
How could he be dreaming about his ex-girlfriend, who he's going to see when he leaves school with Jason tomorrow? I cannot handle this right now. I slipped out of his grip and walked into the front room. Near the door was a black box. I knew exactly what it was, my guitar, my cherry red electric acoustic. I opened the guitar shaped box and pulled it out. I slipped through the door and walked into the hallway. I took the elevator down and then walked out the doors into the sunset. I looked around and found the perfect tree to sit under and play. I started strumming out the beginning of the song whiskey lullaby by Brad Paisley, and I started to sing.
"She put him out like the burning' end of a midnight cigarette
She broke his heart he spent his whole life trying' to forget
We watched him drink his pain away a little at a time
But he never could get drunk enough to get her off his mind
Until the night
He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger
And finally drank away her memory
Life is short but this time it was bigger
Than the strength he had to get up off his knees
We found him with his face down in the pillow
With a note that said I'll love her till I die
And when we buried him beneath the willow
The angels sang a whiskey lullaby
The rumors flew but nobody knew how much she blamed herself
For years and years she tried to hide the whiskey on her breath
She finally drank her pain away a little at a time
But she never could get drunk enough to get him off her mind
Until the night
She put that bottle to her head and pulled the trigger
And finally drank away his memory
Life is short but this time it was bigger
Than the strength she had to get up off her knees
We found her with her face down in the pillow
Clinging to his picture for dear life
We laid her next to him beneath the willow
While the angels sang a whiskey lullaby"
I love that song, I thought to myself.
"Your good at pool, you have a super fast metabolism, and u sing and play guitar. What else do I not know about you Ms. Eliza," I heard a voice from behind me ask. It was Neil.
"Well, I play piano, my dad's cheating on my mom, I love to read, hmm what else?" I tried to sneak that last part in about my dad.
"Wow that sucks about your dad," of course Neil noticed.
