The sounds of joyful and energetic laughter of kids came filling the halls and the whole home. Every morning it sounded like an elementary school recess . Kids were running down the halls laughing and yelling. I pulled my pillow over my face and ears trying to sleep in. At the moment I'm trying to be a singer, but a soloist, sadly. I guess you can say I haven't met the right type of people for a band. The sounds of heals down the hall was unmistakable. I quickly stumbled to my feet and stepped on music sheets and tried to quickly make it to the door without stepping on any of my instruments. With all my time spent in my room at the orphanage I taught myself how to play practically any instrument. For my louder instruments the foster dad here actually built a small shed for me to play them at. The speakers and everything hooked to a generator we don't turn on until I ask. It's an easy way to save on the energy bill since how much energy the speakers and instruments use up. Before I could even open the door, the foster mom had opened it, causing me to lose my balance and trip over my guitar case and fell at her shiny black heals.
"Did I wake you, Angel?" she asked not seeming pleased that I hadn't been up or down stairs for breakfast sooner.
"No, you didn't wake me," I said slightly chuckling nervously. "Who woke me were the kids through the halls." I slowly got back to my feet and dusted off myself and grabbed my guitar case make sure my guitar and everything else was fine. She leaned over my shoulder to look at the guitar. My biological dad had made it himself for my fifth birthday, the last birthday I had with them. A week after I turned five, my parents were murdered in the middle of the night. It was the worse thing I could've probably woke up too. I closed the case slowly stood up.
"Are you heading to your shed?" the foster mom asked me as I began leaving my room with my guitar in its case, some music sheets, and a pen behind my ear.
"Yes," I said turning to look at her.
"Do you mind eating something first?" she asked kindly and kind of worried tone.
"I will," I said giving her a reassuring smile. I walked back into my room to put my guitar by the door then walked down to the kitchen and grabbed the last two pancakes and some syrup. The foster mom must have been saving them to make sure I ate. I sat the plate on the counter and went to get a cup out of the cupboards. When I turned back around to my plate I seen him, Axel Maddings, standing in the fridge. I growled a little in my head at the sight of him. Once he got a drink from the fridge he turned to look at me.
"Good morning, Angel," he said smirking. The way he says my name like I'm a child annoys me. He laughed at my annoyed expression and walked up to his room. Besides his name, I don't know anything about him. He stays in his room to long for anyone to get to know him.
I got the carton of orange juice and poured it into the glass. After I put the juice back and went to grab my plate I noticed that he had taken one of the pancakes. I sighed and took the plate over to the table. I went to grab the syrup then sat at the table. I used one hand to eat then with my other hand I slightly tapped the table in a certain beat. It was a practice beat for my newest song. I finished then cleaned up everything. Before going to my room to get my guitar, I knew I had to get my pills before I practiced. I walked up stairs to be tackled by one of the kids running in the hall.
"Angel, you are going to get me caught," the little blonde pig tailed girl said as she got up to run again. Once I sat up I seen a little boy running after her, his kind of long (for a boy that is) hair waved back with wind as he ran forward to me and past me. Next thing I heard was his cheering "you're it!" and the girls whining not wanting to be it.
I went into the bathroom and closed the door. Looking myself in the mirror. I grabbed one strand of my long, brown, curly hair. It was soft and began smoothing it between my fingers. I suddenly heard a knock and snapped me back.
"Hurry up, Angel," Axel called from the other side.
"Be patient, Axel!" I exclaimed back to him annoyed.
"I don't have patience," he called back with an annoyed tone. I slightly chuckled to myself feeling pleased that I had annoyed him.
"Well get some!" I called back and turned on the water and filled the little cup with some water. Once I opened the bathroom cupboards doors, the pill bottles began spilling out making them crash and rattle as they fell. One hit my head and I fell back and hit the wall. I rubbed my head feeling dizzy. The door opened slowly and Axel shut off the water and stacked the pill bottles on the counter neatly. He turned and got on one knee setting a hand on my shoulder to look at me. For the first time I thought he might be nice to me.
"You need to get out. I really gotta piss," he said with a kind like tone.
"Damn, Axel, I swear you're heartless," I said trying to stand but stumbled over to the counter. "I need to take my meds."
"Geez, youre heartless," he said chuckling softly.
I rolled my eyes and began getting my meds out slowly with my hands shaking badly. My vision was getting blurry and my head felt like it was spinning 20 mph. I took my pills quickly not caring Axel behind me watching. I couldn't hear a signal word he was saying. It's odd having an extremely rare brain tumor. It surprised the foster mom when the doctor told her and that there was actually meds for it. Once I finished taking my meds I left the bathroom, walking off balance. Axel came over to me and forced me to put my arm around his shoulder. He began walking me over to my room. I put my hand on the doorknob, but I didn't open the door. I slightly looked up at him weakly.
"Do you mind leaving now?" I asked. "I can take care of myself now."
"Are you sure?" he asked with a worried tone.
"Yea don't worry," I said softly.
He nodded then left to the bathroom again. Once the bathroom door shut behind him, I went into my bed room. I grabbed my pen and put it behind my ear then began gathering my music sheets. I knew I shouldn't leave until I knew he was out of the bathroom and out of the halls. I had to make sure that no one knew how I always spend my time in that room. I heard the toilet flush. The sound of the water running didn't last too long. The door opened and a knock came to my door.
"Are you ok in there Angel?" he asked kindly and a bit worried.
"Yea, I'm fine," I said calmly, like my mind wasn't running around with mixed emotions and memories. Along with all that I was growing a pretty bad migraine.
"Good," he said then I could hear his footsteps walking down to his room.
I walked over to my closet and got some fresh clothes and my Black Veil Brides hoodie. I grabbed my guitar case, which by the way was covered in band concert pins I put on it after the concerts I went too. My favorite artist has never been on tour or had any concerts yet. I hope to see him the most. Millions of girls also love him. He isn't like boy band singer or anything but often sings from the heart and is sexy as hell. I checked to see if the halls were cleared and put up my hood as I began walking for the back door. The only way I can get to the shed with my instruments is to cross through the backyard. I snuck out the door and began running down the yard. Last thing I would've guessed or even knew about at all would be the fact that Axel seen me every time I crossed the backyard and was actually falling for the mystery girl he always seen.
