In the perspective of Tyler
I just had to find this girl again. Every day and night, I thought about her. I dreamed about her dirty blonde hair and her perfect skin. I don't know if one would consider this weird or not. But to me, she was perfect and I just had to find a way to talk to her at least once, or sneak my number into her phone. "You have to do it in a cute, heart-warming, and mesmerizing way," Julian was telling me. "I know, I know," I repeated, as we were walking down the courtyard to the library. "Problem is, you don't know anything about her except for what she looks like," Julian continued, talking like a Sherlock Holmes of love. We sat down in the far back of the library, facing the door. Julian kept talking but I wasn't paying attention to him. I just needed a good way to get her to know me, and that I liked her. It reminded me of my last relationship I had in high school. Me and this girl, Amanda. I really liked her. She was a new girl and barely any of the guys caught her attractive. We started hanging out and we just clicked. No need for any "mesmerizing" way to know each other, it just happened. That's when all the boys started to find her attractive, but she was a strong girl and didn't cheat on me, thank God. But our relationship sure did end in a mesmerizing way. I never like to talk about it anyway. Right when I was about to tell Julian to shut the heck up, my new crush walked in with one of her friends. Perfect, I thought. "Julian," I nudged him. He looked up at the door and saw her. "I don't think I need to know anything but what she looks like to get to know her," I said, and started to devise a plan.In the perspective of Olive
Stella and I really needed to study for that upcoming Calculus quiz. Rachel couldn't make it since she had to make up a test for biology. After a quick stop to Starbucks, we met at the library at our usual spot; Right smack in the middle. Nobody ever sits there when we're at the library, which is a weird coincidence. I put down all my things and started to boot up my computer. I took a sip from my Starbucks when Stella gasped. "Do. Not. Turn. Around. Cute. Boy. Alert!!" she said. I didn't dare look. "The same one?" I asked her anxiously. She nodded her head in, what she thought was, a nonchalant way. I sat down and urged her to stop acting weird. "Is he looking our way?" I asked her, hoping that he would recognize me. "No, I think he's writing something," she replied. For some reason, I felt a little upset. Feeling discouraged, I logged into my computer and started to pull up some study guides and notes. Stella gasped even louder and started to fix her hair. "What?" I said, really curious this time. Stella just kept smiling and looking my way. "Wha-," I started to say again but was startled to see that "Cute Guy" stopped by my table. He looked sooo cute, like you wouldn't even believe. He smelled masculine but a little boyish too, which only made him cuter. "Hey, uh, do you know where to find the chemistry textbooks?" he asked us, only really making eye contact with me. My face got so hot, even I could tell. I didn't answer, since, I mean, cute guy HELLO!! But, thank goodness Stella was there for me. "Uh, I don't but Olive sure does!" she answered, pointing my way. I looked at Stella in the eye and then quickly looked back again at the cute guy. "Um, Olive,...?" Stella urged. "Right, uh, this way," I said, standing up. He smiled and quickly followed. Luckily, I actually did know where the chemistry books were. I mean, wouldn't that be embarrassing if I didn't. While we were walking around the library, I could hear his strong, beautiful breath behind me. I don't know why but the minute I heard it, I thought of the two of us making out and feeling his breath down my neck.... yeah, right. Just as we turned the corner to the chemistry section, he said, "Thanks, and, uh, when you were walking, you dropped this," he said handing me a folded piece of paper. Honestly, I don't carry pieces of paper in my pockets but I took it anyway. "Uh, thanks," I said, short on words. I drummed the paper in my hands, feeling stupid for not starting a conversation. He stared at me with his dark chocolate eyes and it made me feel exposed, but in a good way. I could feel myself start to get hot but luckily he said thanks again and left. Crazy thing is, he didn't even LOOK at the chemistry books. I looked at the paper, not recognizing it at all and unfolded it. The minute I read it, I smiled a great smile, a real one too. The paper said:
Hey, my name's Tyler and we should talk some time. My number is 260-3543.
