Joshua's pov
Mum wanted me to accompany her to her new office. Clearly, it was Saturday. As her only son, it's definitely my duty to take care of her.

We arrived and as suspected, it was empty. The security guards greeted us. They seem to know my mum really well although she was new there.

My mum is some sort of businesswoman but don't assume me rich. My dad, I don't really want to talk about it. The last time I saw him was when I was 5 years old. I don't know if he's still alive. Apparently, my mum doesn't talk much about it too.

I waited her in the lobby while she tried to get some documents. Suddenly, I heard a graunch from the elevator. It made my blood run cold. Is there anyone else visiting the office at this time?

Joshua, chill. You're a man.

*TING*

The door opened. A foot wearing white vans came out followed by the other.

"Paris?" I became lost for words. She was too.

"Michael? Uh who- Joshua! What are you doing here?"

Geez, she forgotten my name. We both just met yesterday. "What are you doing here?"

"My dad works here, duh"
"Well, my mum works here too,"
"K, then"

She was pococurante.

I watched her walking over to the other end until she was out of sight. Curiosity was all over me. She was acting suspicious. So I followed her trace.

Unfortunately, I ended up lost. Way to go Joshua. I turned back to the direction of the lobby earlier.

BAM.

I bumped into her again.

"Can you not see? Why are you here? Did you followed me? OMG YOU CREEP!" and she smacked me with a newspaper that was only one page thick.

"I wasn't stalking you. I was just trying to find my uh- my mum"
"Well your beloved mummy is-"

"Paris?"

Paris's pov
I heard my dad calling my name from afar. He was with another lady.

"Well, I think both of you guys already met," the lady spoke.

Yeah, I can't believe I'm even meeting him today.

"Oh, Ms Hong, this is Yeong Ahn, Yeong-ah, this is Ms. Hong."

WHAT. Did my dad lost his screw in his brain for calling my Korean name? But I bowed and greeted her. She introduced Joshua to dad and the other way around.

So this is his mum. She's probably new because I have never seen her around. And that's probably why dad was so happy the other day. He finally got a replacement for his former employee who suddenly disappeared a few weeks ago.

On our way back home, I had a little talk with my dad. It was kind of more than a little. He seemed so delightful because of Joshua's mom's existance. He said the company will be finally be back to usual. I hope so. By then I don't need to see a strained face anymore when he gets home from work.
