"I want to hear the whole story from the beginning," Sam growled at Blaine.
"Sam, you really don't-"
"Tell me the story. You fucking owe me that, Blaine." Sam demanded.
"Fine, it happened last night..."
"And... Done," Blaine kicked his foot out at the end of their dance routine, before falling down on the couch. It was a long day of practicing with Jake so he could be the lead of the New Directions. "I can't do anymore."
Jake seemed to agree as he panted, sweat dripping down his face. He leaned back as he stood, hands on either hip as he stretched out. "Yeah, I think we should call it a day."
Blaine grabbed his own keys off the table and shoved them in his pocket. "Well. Let's go..." Blaine said, short of breath and standing up ever so slowly.
"Yeah," Jake agreed as he reached back and plucked his sweat pants from between his hungry cheeks. He gathered up his duffel bag, slinging it over his shoulder. "And thanks man, I really appreciate all of what you're doing. Just wish I knew how to repay you."
Blaine smiled a bit as he patted Jake on the back and led him down the stairs. "One day you will. For now, we've been here six hours. Let's get out."
Rubbing his freezing hands together he got an idea as they entered the main hallway. "How about some hot chocolate? On me."
"Well, why not." Blaine smirked. He was happy to see how much Jake had grown in the past couple years, and his generosity was definitely a part of that. "Let's get it to go, apparently there's a huge blizzard coming tonight."
Jake hurriedly along, going to push open the front door but finding that it wouldn't budge. He tried again, really putting his back into it but still, no movement. "Oh hey, is the door locked?"
With a frown, Blaine pushed the door with all his might and still couldn't manage to close it. "These doors don't lock like this. You can always get out?"
"Then why," Jake growled and he put all of his weight onto the door. "Why won't it open?"
Blaine walked up the stairs and peered out the window. "Oh my god," he muttered as he peered outside. He shook his head and leaned over the railing. "We're snowed in." He called to Jake.
"What?!" Jake rushed up behind Blaine and saw the same sight. A huge snow bank had developed, forcing the doors shut. There would be no way out, not until the snowplows came in the morning. "What do we do?"
"Calm down," Blaine said as he rubbed Jake's upper back. "There's no way out except the air vents up there, and I don't expect you to get through that. So... We wait."
"In the school? All night? No way!" Jake might've grown up a lot but he still was a teenager after all and despite his better judgement he reached up towards one of the air vents. "Give me a boost. I think I can fit."
With a shake of his head, Blaine walked over and crouched down so he could use all his power to push Jake up. His head was right against Jake's cheeks as he heaved. "Get in there," he struggled as he felt Jake's body slowly make its way into the vent.
On his hands and knees the young man inched slowly into the vent. "I fit!" He exclaimed, feeling clever and he slowly made his way deeper. "Dammit!" Although Blaine couldn't see it Jakes expression had changed considerably in a few moments. It just gets narrower and narrower. I'll have to back up..." He sighed. Jake retreated, slowly making his way out until his feet hung out of the vent. "Almost...AHH!" The teen suddenly stopped. "Uh Blaine? I have to tell you something and you have to promise not to laugh."
