We Aren't Perfect

Women know we are being treated unequal
when we tell the boy's we are, all they say is
You are?
Since when?
When we are oppressed
they think nothing is wrong
We won't respond to your whistle
Why should we?
We are always treated as if we are less important than boys
Boys can do what they want,
But we have set rules, regulations,
And we are told to do this and that,
We need to be perfect
Perfect hair, clothes, nails, attitude, and total appearance
If a boy makes a mistake,
Who cares?
If a girl makes a mistake all hell breaks lose
Why are we not equal?
Why can't we have a world where no gender is ever oppressed?
When can we be equal?
When we don't have to be scared of the next guy who might hurt us
We fight for what we believe in,
We fight for what needs to happen,
Just so we can have a fair chance.
