Extract of speech from VP
As most of you know the States has begun their push against the Glisson borders. As the Prime Minister has said there is no cause for concern. The States lack the manpower- and will- to break us apart. We are fighting hordes of men who have lost their spirit. We are not fighting desperate men. We are fighting men without wills to fight. Perhaps, some of you still worry. I assure you we are still a strong country, and we have the means to repel them. We have the resources to continue living- at least until we overcome the shortage and drought.

The days are hard on me. Today has been taxing. Perhaps if I had passed sooner I would not have to fight so hard. What would I give to be born in a different era! The people of ages past would never have known the hardships we face now, let alone what I face. I would give everything- my status, my name, my power- my family, even- to be born a hundred years ago, when the human race reached its pinnacle. The golden age of man! My forefathers were lucky men. Me.. not so. I am a rich person. But money cannot buy what I ask for.
Operation Chastity is progressing well. The good Doctor has assured me of its completion soon enough. He says it will be ready within the month, and well before March is over.
I am so very tired.
