~Louis' P.O.V~
I woke with a start. I was having a strange dream where an old lady was trying to stab me with her knitting needles. I sat upright and shook my head, trying to get the weird image out of my mind. I checked the time. It was 8:30 AM.
I turned around to face the bed. Amanda wasn't there. She must've gotten up early.
She was acting a little strange last night.
"You know I love you right? You know that no matter what happens, I'll always love you?... But you have to understand that whatever happens, whatever the circumstances, I love you”
The things she said yesterday kept going through my mind all night as I slept. Why was she so worried about our relationship? What could she possibly think would happen? Well, after all she's been through, I couldn't blame her for being a bit paranoid. But she didn't have to worry anymore. John is dead, and she hasn't heard from her father since months before what happened with John.
For all we knew, her father could be dead.
I rubbed my eyes, sighed, and slowly got up. I slipped on a t-shirt before walking into the living room.
Zayn, Liam, Leni, and Erica were the only people in the room. My eyes searched the living room and the kitchen for Amanda. She wasn't there.
"'Morning guys. Where's Amanda?" I asked through a yawn.
"Isn't she still in bed?" Erica asked.
"No" I said, a little confused.
"Well we haven't seen her. Maybe she went out for an early morning walk" Zayn said.
"Yeah, I'm sure that's what she's doing!" Leni said reassuredly. I guess she saw the look of panic on my face.
"Oh, uh, yeah, I guess that's where she went" I said to them, though I didn't believe it. I know Amanda, and she would never get up early in the morning just to go on a walk.
"I'll be right back" I said and headed back to my bedroom.
I grabbed my phone that was charging on the nightstand and dialed Amanda's number. There was no answer. Now I was really starting to panic. She always answers her cell phone. When it's me, she usually answers on the first ring.
Something was definitely wrong.
I didn't want to scare the others, so I quietly paced back and forth in my room, trying to think of where she could possibly be.
As I placed my phone back on the nightstand, I noticed a white paper placed under my car keys. I immediately smiled and relaxed.
Amanda must've left a note for me! I knew it! I knew she wouldn't leave without telling us anything. She must've gone to the shops or something and maybe she lost her phone!
I grabbed the sheet of paper, unfolded it, and began to read:
Dear Louis,
I'm not going to beat around the bush with this letter, I'll just cut to the chase; I think we need a break.
I love you Louis, I really do, but I think it'll be healthy for our relationship if we have a little separation for a while.
In the time being, I'll be staying at a friend's house. Please don't try to contact me, it's better for both of us if you don't.
Please don't be sad, or angry. Believe me when I say that this is what's best for us right now.
I hope to see you soon.
