~Amanda's P.O.V~

Jace and I had just finished up a delicious dessert of pecan pie when my phone started to ring. I tensed up. No, I couldn't leave now. Not when I had just made a friend. I was tempted to just let it ring and not answer it, but I knew better. I excused myself from the room and forced myself to answer the call.

"Hello?" I answered rather coldly.

"I'm sorry, but it is time to run again, Amanda. You've been there too long. Your father's hot on your trail. You need to leave tonight" said the woman with the monotone voice. The woman with the voice that I was tired of taking orders from.

Suddenly, I snapped. "You know what? Let him find me. I'm tired of running, and I'm tired of listening to you. I don't even know who you are! How do I know that you're not leading me right to him? How do I know you're not making all of this up? I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying right here" I said, a little out of breath from my rant. I've been wanting to say that for a while. This whole "mission" hasn't made sense from the beginning. I don't even know why I ran in the first place.

As if she were able to read my mind, the woman answered, "What about your friends? Why don't you go back to them? Why stay where you are when you can go back to London? It's because you do believe me, Amanda, and you don't want your friends to be in danger. That's why you're staying away from them. Whether you want to or not, you believe me, and you know the right thing to do. If you don't want your friends to get hurt, you'll continue to do as I say."

I thought about it for a bit, then I sighed in frustration, because she was right. I did believe her, no matter how much I didn't want to. And I care about my friends too much to put them in danger.

"Fine. Where to?" I answered, still coldly. She gave me the directions, which I quickly memorized, then hung up with her. According to the woman, I needed to leave now if I wanted to catch the train on time. I quickly walked back into the kitchen, where Jace was washing dishes.

"Jace, I'm very sorry, but I have to go. Thank you for being so nice to me and planning this amazing dinner. You're a great guy. Bye!" I said and walked quickly to the door.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down. Where are you going in such a hurry?" He asked and walked over to me.

"I just have to go. I'm, uh, going on a little adventure" I said, not knowing what to tell him. "But I won't be back, so this is probably the last time I'm gonna see you. It was great meeting you, Jace" I said and once again headed towards the door.

"Wait! I'm coming with you" Jace said.

"Are you crazy? I just met you. I'm not gonna let you come with me to-"

"Listen," Jace said, cutting me off. "I know it sounds crazy, but I want to come with you. I don't know where you're going, but I need a little adventure in my life. The semester's over at nursing school, so I have nothing to do. I was planning on going away anyway. Just think of me as your tag-along" he blurted out, then smiled pleadingly.

I had no time to argue with him. The train was leaving at 10:30. We had half an hour. "Fine. Pack lightly, and hurry up" I said and ran next door to get my backpack.

~Louis' P.O.V~

I've been in Glasgow for about a week, with no sign of Amanda. I've been all over Glasgow, showing people the picture of Amanda I got from the magazine. Nothing. I was stupid to think that I would find her so easily with just a picture. But I wasn't going to give up. I knew she was here, and that was enough to keep me going.

I was now back at the train station. I thought that I might be able to get some more information from other people that worked here. So far, it wasn't going too well. I took out my cell phone to check the time. 10:20 pm on a Saturday. I've been here for over an hour, and I haven't figured out anything new. I sat on a bench that was placed in front of a train. Many people were boarding it. I looked curiously at the sign to see where it was going. It was headed to England. It was leaving in ten minutes. I watched, somewhat amused as people ran to get on the train in time, throwing their ticket to the conductor, practically swan diving into the train.

When there were less than five minutes left to board the train, someone caught my eye. I could only see the back of her head, but she had curly, auburn hair, and was wearing the same pair of converse that Amanda owns.

Could it be?

Just then, she turned around. It was her! I jumped up from the bench, almost tripping over my own feet, and ran towards her.

"Amanda! Amanda!" I shouted, but was too late. She was already on the train and she didn't hear me or see me. I continued to shout, getting a few weird looks from people walking by, but she couldn't hear me. I just stared at her from the train window. I couldn't believe it. She was right there, and I couldn't get to her. I tried to stay calm, though, because I knew where she was headed. It wouldn't be hard to find her. I just have to get onto the next train.

Just before the train started to move, I saw her smile at someone. I looked in the same direction she was looking, and saw a guy that was around our age, with shaggy blonde hair.

No.
