"Hey Mary when is your mom getting back, I'm hungry..."  Mary is my bestfriend, she was the only one there for me when the... Things happened with Eli... "She is on her way, she said she will be here in a minute. While Mary was on her phone, all of a sudden I started thinking about Eli and all the things we said to each other... I still can't believe its been five months since we did anything... We barely even talk in class and we rarely talk to each other in the halls... We don't even sit with each other on the bus. I guess he took it a little too far when I said I needed space. I miss him so much. All of a sudden my phone vibrates.

I was shocked at what Alex said. "Nessy?" "Nessy I've been calling you for like five minutes are you ok?" She caught me off guard. "Yeah I'm fine I'll be out in a second. Ok but hurry the food is getting cold..." She left to the kitchen where her mom was and i stayed in the room thinking of what to say to Alex..
Hey Alex... Its nice to hear from you again. Look I'm no where near comfortable with starting a relationship with you anymore. You don't know how bad you hurt me all the lies all the cheating I'm not gonna put myself through that anymore. I can't love someone when all they want to do is hurt me, even though I actually was in love with you. I can't have that. You can't have me you were just a mistake that I made... I'm sorry but everything is over between us. I'm sorry.

Ugh another day in school another day of misery... I started to walk towards the bus stop when i hear someone call my name. 
It's Jack and Alice my two bestfriends. "Hey buttercup whats up?" Jack always has these stupid nicknames for me. He is so adorable. "Yeah what's up buttercup?" Alice says. She loved mocking Jack, it was just a thing they did I never really knew why. "Nothing, how is my favorite couple doing?" They both give me a disturbing look when Alice says "Nessy how many times do we have to tell you... Jack and I are just friends." "I know, I know it's just you guys do everything together and... Nevermind."
Jack looks a little upset when he hears that I do wonder sometimes if he really does like her but won't admit it. After a long silence Jack says "Come along my princesses, your bus awaits.. Unless you want to walk all the way to school." Me and Alice looked at each other then both of us went on each side of Jack and grabbed his hands. We walk to the bus together when I see... Him. I stayed stuck for a second when I here both Jack and Alice say "Nessy? Are you ok?" I give them an astonished look before saying "Yeah I'm ok." We walked to the bus stop when the bus gets there. We all walk on the bus. As usual I sit in my regular seat, he sat right there next to me. It felt just like the first day, awkward. All of a sudden, "Hey Nessy." There was a long pause. I didn't know what to say, i wasn't prepared nor ready to even see him again and talk to him. "Hey Eli." I say fast trying to just end this awkward conversation. "How have you been lately?" "Great just great how about you?" "To be honest terrible. I cant wait till school is out." "Yeah well you are out of luck we still have two months before school is out so you are just gonna have to wait." I say sarcastically... I don't know why i said it like that. I could see how that affected him, and it breaks me down inside. "Nessy?" "Eli its just you have been ignoring me for a whole five months not even daring to look at me and now all of a sudden you just have the nerve to just sit in the seat we first met at and decide to talk to me. Why?" "I know, but the only reason I did that is because you said you needed space and I didn't want to mess up your thinking or influence any decision you had... But i realized how much time has passed and I needed to know but Im still not sure what you are thinking but i cant stay away any longer even if you still don't know what you are thinking i need to be at least near you i cant keep my distance, Not anymore." " Eli I haven't made my decision yet, but I'm glad you are deciding to be around." We both smile. As soon as we got off the bus i grabbed him and gave him a hug. We stayed there for a while till i looked up and see Alex standing a few feet away from us, he looks angry... Not now, this is the worst time to talk to him, especially when Eli and I are talking again.
"Nessy? What are you doing?" Alex asks with an angry look. "N-Nothing Alex what do you want I already told you that im not going to be with you anymore. You made everything difficult for me and i can't be with someone who doesn't make me happy. And you never were there when I needed you. I started to cry. "YOU NEVER ONCE THOUGHT ABOUT MY FEELINGS OR ME YOU THOUGHT ABOUT YOURSELF, AND NOW YOU ARE JUST UPSET CAUSE YOU THINK I FOUND SOMEONE BETTER." It felt so good to get that out but now there was a huge crowd surrounding Eli Alex and I. "You just met that idiot Nessy you have known me for years. Do you realise that he is nothing for you? He is just some stupid rich freak who cuts himself every time he doesn't get his way." He started to smirk for a second. I went up to him and slapped him. "You will not call him that ever again you bitch. I love him and i don't care what you say. You are a pathetic."
He slapped me and I fell to the ground. As i screamed in pain I hear Eli calling out my name as he tries to calm me down. He got up and he punched Alex. Then he punched him again. "DONT YOU EVER LAY YOUR HANDS ON HER AGAIN YOU BITCH!!!" When i got up. I seen Mary running towards me with the principal and a police officer. "Nessy oh my god are you ok?" "Yeah im fine." "Come on Nessy lets go get you checked out at the nurse. You to Eli. I grabbed Eli's hand and followed Mary and the principal. When we got there the nurse checked us both and said we would be fine that there was nothing major that happened except for a little bruise near my eye for a little while. I had to go outside to clear my mind. "Hey Eli I'm gonna be outside for a second." "Ok, you want me to go with you?" "No I need to be alone." I grabbed my bag and went to the front of the school. I pulled out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. I started to smoke after I told Eli about me needing time. It felt good to get one i hadnt had one for three days... As I was smoking someone comes behind me. "Nessy? What are you doing?" Its Eli. "Im sorry but i needed it ive been really stressed out lately." I say turning around to face him. "Nessy, why?" A tear rolled down my face. "I couldn't do anything else to help me stop stressing out about our situation." " Nessy promise me you won't do this anymore." I stayed silent. "NESSY, I SAID PROMISE ME YOU WONT DO THIS ANYMORE." "I wont.. Im sorry Eli it won't happen again." He came up to me and gave me a hug. "Mrs.Treble wants to talk to us now." We starting walking to her office.
