A cold breeze hit my face As I exited the science building. It must've only been 30 degrees at most. Rachel and I carpooled back to our dorm. It was not a surprise to see Tom's car there. I ran over and peeked in the window... He wasn't in there. I scanned the yard, but he wasn't anywhere to be seen. What I did see was a new snowman.

A snowball flew over the head of the snowman. It took me a while to process that it was coming straight for me! I started to run, but it hit me right in the shoulder.

"NICE TOM!" I yelled towards the snowman. Tom poked up from behind it, laughing like always.

"Come on!" He called, "Snowball fight in the park?"

I followed him to his car. We pelted each other with snowballs for an hour. I've gotta say, I won. I definitely hit him more. He disagrees, but I know I did. Both of us were soaked and freezing.

As we drove home, it took me a while to realize that we weren't going to my house. It was Tom's hotel.

"Tom, I don't have anything to change into," I told him.

"Don't worry, I had Rachel get something for you."

"You're always full of surprises," I told him.

When we got to his room I was surprised when he handed me my swimsuit.

"Just trust me," he said.

I usually wore a t shirt over my suit when I was swimming, because it made my stomach look huge. I looked in the mirror feeling insecure.

Tom was in his Olympic speedo when I exited the bathroom. I blushed and laughed.

We walked down the hall hand in hand, with lots of weird looks from people dressed in coats and winter clothing. I felt exposed. But at least I was wearing more clothes than Tom.

He lead me outside, it was freezing! I was glad when we walked over to another building. The door said: RESERVED FOR TOM DALEY.

"What is this?" I asked, smiling.

We walked in, to find a big, empty, hot tub.

"Wow," I whispered. "Like I said, you're always surprising me."

Another surprise was that there were rose petals floating in the water, and candles on the side. Tom turned off the lights. It reminded me of our first date in the backyard. How there were pretty glowing lights everywhere.

He lifted me off my feet and carried me to the hot tub. "You're cold!" He whispered.

"I know!" I said.

We slowly slipped in, I sighed as I entered. It felt so wonderful.

"Thanks Tom, this is amazing!" He shushed me. I looked at him confused.

"Just sit here with me." He said. I put my head on his shoulder and didn't say another word.

***TOM'S POV***

All I wanted was her presence. We didn't need to talk. We didn't need to kiss. Just to be together.

Because I knew any moment could be out last.

I knew we'd be over any day now...

I knew she'd hate me... When she found out...
