Chapter 13//Whispers & Dreams

I Just Think She Needed Some Time Away From Him Y'know?

Avelina's P.O.V
It was already late in the afternoon. I had spent half my day with Anakin before I went to Naboo. This will be the first time I've spent a whole day without Anakin around me whatsoever. I arrived on Naboo with my stuff packed.
As I got off the ship, I can smell the lake water and petrichor. Which was quite refreshing, it was nice to get away from the noise and blinking lights below me. Although I've been to her palace plenty times, the view never got tiring. I got on the boat to get across the lake and half way there I could see Padme in the distance waving at me. We got closer to the dock and guards walked alongside her to greet me.
"Hi Lina.", She gave a warm tight hug after she helped me out of the boat.
"Good Afternoon, Padme." I said as I pulled away from the hug. She guided me into the palace to the dining room.
"Please help yourself." She presented the food to me.
"Thank You." I smiled at her and helped myself to what was out on the table.
We sat at the table and chose the food on the table.
"So what will happen when you both have the child?" She asked me before chewing her food. I cleared my throat.
"I'm very unsure yet. I just know I'll have to take off from training for a while.".
She put her fork down on the plate making a clank noise.
"Do you know the gender?"
I chewed my food before answering to her.
"No. I would like to leave it as a mystery."
She pursed her lips and then proceeded to eat her food.
"After this, I will have a guard show you to your room. Tomorrow were going to do some rather fun activities."
She smiled at me. I smiled at her back.

A Guard walked me to my room.
He opened the door for me as I dismissed him. I shut the door behind me.

I turned on the light which only revealed a beautiful. The comforter draped perfectly over the bed down to the floor. White satin sheets and a velvet purple chair.
It smelled of linen, which I loved. Their was a sunroom overlooking the lake with the sunsetting in the distance. It felt peaceful. I made my way to the bathroom and grabbed the robe from the bed.

I observed everything around me and admired the marble counter. Everything in this palace is classy. I stripped my dress down and ran the bath water. I kept turning the knobs to make sure I had a hot enough temperature. While I waited for the bath to be filled up, I wrapped my hair in a bun and looked at the mirror. I circle my now growing stomach with one finger. Noticing how big my bump got and how I couldn't have noticed myself being pregnant a month ago. I rubbed my belly in circular motions.
"You're in good hands now, I promise."
I smiled down at my bump and continued to rub it.
I turned to see the bath water getting full enough. I turned off the running water  and dipped my foot in the water to make sure it was right. It was perfect.
I slipped myself inside water. My arms rested on the outer rims of tub as I rested my head again the back part of the tub. I closed my eyes. I can feel the steam rising.
"Avelina.."
I heard a voice. My eyes shot open and I looked around the bathroom. No one.
I close my eyes again and rested my head.
"AVELINA...."
It sounded like it was getting closer. I chose to ignore it this time and decided to relax myself. Maybe I was just a bit tired.

I put on my night gown and braided my hair to the side. I flipped off the light and pulled the sheets over. My body sank in the memory foam bed. I switched to laying on my side to get more comfortable and tucked my hand underneath my head and scrunched my legs. And with that, I drifted to sleep.

Narrator's P.O.V
"You can't take him!" Avelina shouted at the being with the hood over his head.
"Then come back and we shall spare your husband and your child." He stretched out his hand towards her. A lump began to form in her throat. Tears welled up in her eyes and Anakin was on his knees. You could hear the crying of their child  in the distance.
Avelina took his hand and sobbed. A grin formed on his face.
"Good. Take them away!".

Avelina woke up with a cold sweat and out of breath. She grasped her gown and look down at her stomach to make sure everything was okay. She took a deep breath and plopped back down on the bed. Unable to sleep from that nightmare. She ran her fingers through her hair and thought about the dream all night.
