Crash & Burn.

                                                      Chapter One

    As we all have experienced at times, our lives can change in the blink of an eye. One minute we may be on top of the world; moments later, the lowest point we've ever been before. Truthfully, I'd never questioned the true value our lives hold until the moment I saw the person I care for most, unresponsive in a hospital bed. Who would've thought this random day in February would change everything in my life from this point forward.

      Everything had happened so quickly that dreadful night. My boyfriend of three years, Calum and I were on our way back to our apartment after a date night dinner, when another car in the opposite lane swerved into ours and hit us directly, resulting in a head on collision. The brunt of the force from the wreck hit Calum who was driving, leaving me with slightly less critical injuries than he. We had never seen any of this coming. We were innocently laughing, singing at the top of our lungs along to the radio, his right hand holding mine and the next thing I can remember is waking up in the hospital, wondering what the hell had happened. Panicking as I realized Calum wasn't nearby. From the moment I woke up all I'd been thinking about is all that I could have done differently to prevent what had happened..... But now it might just be too late to fix anything.
