David’s POV
I laid her down on the bed and opened her dressing gown. I trailed tiny little kisses starting from her neck, moving downwards. She responded by arching her back.
Damn she was so beautiful.
I moved backwards and leaned on my calves so that I could simply look at her.
Her ginger hair curled lazily over the pillow and my beard had left pink marks on her skin on her left breast and lower belly.
She suddenly jerked up. “David! Something is…”
Before my eyes she started to fade.
“No! NO!!!” I tried to grab her arm but I grabbed thin air.
She was gone.
I moved forward and felt the bed were she had laid down. It was still warm and smelled of her.
This can’t be happening.
I searched the bed for remains. Nothing.
I need help. My phone. Where is my phone?
I searched for my pants, found them in the corner of the room and took out the phone out of my pocket. I dialled Raymond’s number.
His phone rang a couple of times.
Raymond answered “Hi David. We are just on our way to the lab.”
“Raymond. Mirthe disappeared. Right before my eyes. A minute ago. I don’t know what to do. What do I do? Raymond what do I do?!?” I yelled.
“What? This much sooner then I expected. Stay put. Don’t touch anything. Where are you? Still at your sister’s flat? We are coming over and I’ll bring the new team so that they can search the scene. Maybe we can find a clue on how this works. Can you call Aaron and your sister for me? I’ll need to make some other phone calls and tell Maria. We’ll be there in 25 minutes. Hang in there and don’t touch anything.”
He hung up.
I put on my clothes and walked to Amy’s living room, dialling her number. Amy, pick up. Please pick up.
Amy’s POV
“Amy it is me. Mirthe disappeared into thin air before my very eyes. Just 10 minutes ago.” David said sounding very upset.
“What? In my flat? Shit. Are you okay? Is it happening to you too?” I asked him.
“No. no. I don’t understand not though. I got abducted earlier than she did. This doesn’t make sense.” David responded.
“Raymond is coming over with a new team to search the scene for evidence.”
“Okay. Stay put. And don’t touch anything at the place where it happened. We’ll be there as soon as possible.” I said.
I hung up the phone and catapulted myself out of the bed. I stormed into Aaron’s guestroom.
He was lying in bed with his head under the covers. Only his blond locks peaked out.
I tried to wake him up. “Aaron.”
Nothing. “Aaron.”
“Aaron!”
“AARON WAKE UP!!!”
Groggily his head appeared above the covers. His eyes were red. He had a stubble. His hair was all over the place. And he looked oh so good.
It is simply not fair. I look like a frekking Furbie in the morning.
Okay, snap out of it.
“What do you want?” he asked sulkily.
