Today is the worse day ever to Ashley. She had been chased out from her house. She didnt feel angry or anything but she feels so sad and disappointed. She doesnt know why. She packs her things and moves out as soon as possible. She shoudnt be there. She didnt belong there. One question in her head. 'Where should i go?'
Tears streaming down her face. She doesnt know which road should take. Walking straight at the third road, she saw a signboard at the front of a gate 'FOR RENT'. She saw the phone number. Without thinking anymore, she dialed the numbers.
"Hello, may i speak to Miss Wong?" I said.
"Yes, it's me here." She hears the tired voice of her.
"I'm standing outside a house here. It was your name on a board at the gate. Can i rent?." She asks her without no more thinking. She is so desperate for a shelter. To keep her safe.
"Wait there." Suddenly, she smiles. She smiles and hope climbs her heart.
After 20 minutes of discussion about the contract, she agreed to take the house even the rental only valid for 2 weeks. She thinks she had enough time to find another house. Ms. Wong gives her the key. She starts to clean up the house and unpack her things. It takes almost 3 hours to settle. It's a long day ever.
Ashley lies on her queen size bed. This room is quite big for a person. White walls. A gey bed. A green small cupboard at the corner of the room. An air-conditioner. Ashley breathes out a big sigh. Thinking about what had happened it the morning. Her eyes started to burn. 'No, i cant cry again. Not anymore."
She doesnt want to be drawn in a sea of sad feeling. A question sneaks in her mind 'How could they do that to me?. I've never hurt them.'
Ashley takes a deep breath and think of this clearly. She is trying to be positive. Maybe this is the best for her. Living by herelf. Try to be independent. To be more "her".
"This should be a good start for the new happy me." She smiles. She takes the key and get out off her room to find something to eat. She's hungry. She drives about 15 minutes to take a view of her new resident until she sees a cafe. She pulls off her car at the parking lot and make a way to the 5th table. She picks a watermelon juice and wantan sizzling noodles for her lunch.
She looks outside. The walls were made of transparent mirror. The customers can completely see the outside of the cafe. She takes off her phone and sees 6 messages from her friends and 2 from her mom. She doesnt open the messages. While waiting her food, she looks around her. At the corner of the cafe is a couple who look happily with her twins daughter, there's two men wearing suit discussing about bussiness, 4 college students celebrating one of their friend's birthday and a few more people in the cafe enjoying their lunch. That is only her who's sitting alone. Ashley feels so tired of everything.
