A million voices in a small space. A fish market stuffed into a tiny room. A thousand explosions all at once on a crowded street. A hundred opinions, a million questions, countless doubts, all ramming against the walls of her head. The rhythm of this throbbing in slow beats along with her metal heart. No, the heart itself wasn't metal but simply closed in a metal cage she had created as a protection from her mind.

She sat by the ocean with this thought, which had now joined its friends in whatever little space there was remaining in her head. It was late evening and the sun had already started to set. The crowd slowly shrank, but the fewer the people got, the noise persisted unrelentingly. As the beach became quiet, her mind filled up that silence with it's own voice. Well, in her case, 'voices.' Just as she was reaching a point of being unable to tolerate it anymore, a loud crash broke through her thoughts. It was one of the most pleasant sounds she had ever heard for in that one moment that lasted less than a second, everything went quiet. For the first time in her life, she experienced Silence. Drawn to this new peace she had found, she followed this sound that advanced with a rhythm that overpowered the throbbing of her head. In a trance, she kept moving, step by step, towards this captivating force that seemed to wash away everything from her head and only leave behind the silence she had longed for all her life. So possessed was she by this newfound tranquility that she did not realize the water starting to surround her ankles, and then her waist and soon silence was all she heard.
