Escape (Jason's point of view)

Red Hood's P.O.V
"Finish them".

Renegade reached for a sniper rifle on her belt. She held it forward, then slowly moved closer. Hell, I should be angry Ra's cloned me, but I couldn't. I started to feel a soft spot for my clone. I have to do something before she does a thing she will regret later.

"Hey, Renegade". Her eyes immediately stared at me. "Do you truly want this? I know you have something good in you. Whatever kind of control Ra's had over you, fight it. You're a kid. A living human, not a killing machine".

She was getting closer. She was shaking. Her eyes are focused on me instead of her first target.

"You deserve a chance to live a normal life, Renegade". I should be angry at her because she's another copy of me, but I couldn't. "Heck, you could be my little sister!". I thought of the things I will do with her like jumping from a flying vehicle during a thunder storm, play pranks on Bruce, teach her how to steal Alfred's cookies etc.

"I can be your big brother and so is Nightwing and Red Robin. Batman will be your dad and you can serve as a playmate to Robin".

"Hey". Damian exclaimed angrily. I imagine the consequences if Renegade will be his playmate. It would be a bloodbath. In the corner of my eye I saw that he's... Blushing?!

"Red Hood's right, Renegade". Tim stated. "Find a will of your own".

"Yeah, he's right!". Dick said enthusiastically. I wonder if Renegade likes hugs 'cause if she doesn't she'll probably kill him. Bruce silently nodded.

"So what do you say, Renegade? Will you let me have the honor of calling you Jane?". I always wanted to have a daughter named Jane. The name fits her.

Her eyes, the same green color as me, widened. She froze. A single tear rolled down her cheek.

"What do you say? We can give you love, home and a family every kid like wants because you deserved it better than anyone". Man, that was cheesy. She's shaking more than ever now. At least It had an effect on her.

"I'll ask you one more time: do you want to live with us, Jane? With me?".

She was staring at me. I stared back, waiting for a reply. It seemed like forever. She dropped the gun, she fell down on her hands and knees on the floor. She started to break down.

A ninja cut the bindings that tied us to chair. I heard Ra's shouted "nooooooo!". It was all a blur. I ran to Renegade... No, Jane's side. I hugged her and pulled her close to me. The others fight against Ra's.

"Welcome to the family, Janeybird". I gave her a nickname. I picked her up. She passed out. I guess she's tired. Dick put a hand on my shoulder. "We should go now before Ra's' reinforcements arrive". He's right. We made our way escape, hugging Jane to my chest. While running, i stole a glance down on my arms. She looked peaceful. She is like a younger female version of myself. I bet she's going to have fun with us. Especially, me.
