Jason's P.O.V
Home sweet Bat-cave.I laid Jane onto one of the med beds. I released my head out of my helmet. I removed all of her Renegade gear and put them on the nearest medical table. I checked on her to see if she had any bruises. She's fine. Not to mention she looked peaceful. I smiled. She's so cute, but also dangerous. I like it. My kind of people.
Tim went to work on some of his gadgets, Damian is who-knows-where, and Dick was talking to Bruce on what to do with Jane.
I sensed someone behind me. It was Bruce with his cowl off. "You named her Jane, huh?". He smiled, which was rare for him.
"Yeah. The name fits her". I replied.
"She looks like you". He said, never taking his eyes of her.
Alfred entered the infirmary carrying a tray of cookies and coffee. When he saw Jane, he almost dropped the tray. "My word!". Alfred exclaimed.
"Hey, Alfred". I greeted him.
"May I ask who is the young miss, Master Bruce?".
Bruce sighed. "Alfred, this is Jane. She's Jason's clone".
Bruce explained the story of what happened to us back on the encounter with Ra's. Alfred nodded. He offered us coffee and cookies. We thank him. Bruce followed Alfred outside, leaving me alone with Jane. I sat on a chair beside the bed. I'm so tired. I fell asleep.
*Third person P.O.V*
Renegade... Jane woke up and sat upright. Her gear is not with her, and she found it placed neatly on a table. 'I think this place is called the bat-cave'. She thought in amazement. She noticed an unknown stranger was sitting on a chair beside the bed she was sleeping on. Her eyes scanned the said person. He had black hair, the same shade as hers, except he had a platinum streak on it, and he was wearing a costume that was definitely Red Hood's. Could this be him?
Jane's curiosity got the best of her. She knows this is a stupid idea. She poked him on the forehead ('I'm just checking if he's alive or got killed when I was sleep-killing, just to be sure'.).
His eyes shot open. Then he stared at her with wide green eyes. To her surprise, they looked similar to hers.
Jane let out a yelp of shock. She almost fallen off the bed.
"I'm sorry". Jane blurted.
"You don't have to be sorry about things, Jane". Said Jason, giving her a genuine smile. "My name is Jason". He said as he lend a hand to her. "Also known as...".
"Red Hood". Nodded Jane. She accepted his hand. "I'm Renegade. You probably given me a name though. So my name is Jane". She smiled back, but her smile faded when she remembered something. She looked guilty with herself.
Jason arched his eyebrow in confusion. She noticed the guilty expression plastered on Jane's face.
"What's wrong?". He asked. He sat beside her.
"I'm sorry for your arm...".
S'okay, kid".
"Beating you half to death...".
"Janey". She instantly looked up to him when she heard the word. "I know it wasn't a first impression but we start all over again". He flashed the encouraging smile again. To Jason's relief, the smile was back on his little Janeybird's face. "Okay". She replied.
"Do you want me to give you a piggyback?". Offered her new brother.
"What's a piggyback?". Jane asked.
"You don't know what a piggyback is?".
Jane shook her head which meant 'no'.
"You have so much to learn". Jason muttered. He carried his new little sister on his back. The girl giggled. He was getting soft because of her. He was attached to her the moment he saw her. I mean way too atached too her.
'We're going to have so much fun, Janey'. Jason thought excitedly as he walked out of the cave's infirmary. A things-to-do-with-Jane list was forming inside his mind.
Jane's life might change forever.
