Chapter Eleven

Cat's pov. 

We finally reached the human world. Danny had turned into human. I hear someone coming down stairs, "Danny Fenton! Where in the world have you been?!" she said hugging him. "Mom, I was just over Tucker's." his face turned red. I chuckle a bit, "Well, your father and I are going ghost hunting, if you need anything Jasmine is here." she headed up stairs and Danny breathed in relief. "I have to go. My mom is probably worried." I say while grabbing my stuff. "Let me walk you there." Danny said looking into my eyes. "Sure." I smile. "Jaz, I'm taking Cat home", "Okay. Better hurry before mom and dad get home." she smiled at me. I feel like she likes me. "I had a wonderful time. Thank you for taking me. It means a lot." I felt my face turn all red. "It's nothing. I want to see you happy. It scared me when you almost died. Ember is still out there, so, be careful. Please?" I saw the pleading look in his face. I nod and we continue walking. "Cat!" I hear someone call my name behind me. Danny and I turn around and it was Paulina. "Ah, hey." I fake a little smile. "Are you two dating?" he cocked an eye brow. Danny and I look at eachother smiling. "Yeah."  I finally say. Everytime someone ask about us, or I tell them about us, I get this warm feeling in my body. "Oh" she said with a discusted look on her face. I nod, "Anyway. Why did you want to talk to me?" I ask. "Oh yeah. I dropped off a box full of old antique stuff, I know you're old school like that." she smiled, "Thanks." I smile and turn around and we continue to walk. "I'll see you tomorrow." I kiss Danny good-bye. "See yeah." he kissed my cheek and I head inside. "I'm home." I yell, my mom was with her boyfriend. I guess she forgot that I was comming home. "Oh, hi dear. How are you sweetie?" she kissed my cheek. "I'm a little sore. I almost died. Ember attacked me." I look down at my hands. "What happened?" there he is. Vlad. The way he looks just creeps me out. "Nothing happened." I fake a smile and head upstairs. "Dinner is ready in a few. And that nice girl Paulina came over and dropped off a few things for you. Their on your bed." she yelled up the stairs. I just ignored her, she knows how much I dislike Vlad.  I don't get why she invited him over. I finally reach my room and shut the door behind me and look around for the box Paulina gave me. I drop the stuff on my bed, and head over to the box that was on on my dresser. There was an old genie lamp.  "Neat." I whisper to myself. I blew on it and I stuck it on my dresser. There was a knock on the door. "Cat?"  it was Vlad. "Come in if you want." I yelled. I stayed standing at my dresser.  He finally came in and sat on my bed. "I hear you have a boyfriend."  I am going to kill my mother. "I do." this is really odd. He wanted nothing to deal with me until now? "Who is he?" , "Look I don't want to be mean. But why would you want to deal with me now? You two have been together for a while, and you wanted absolutyly nothing  to deal with me." I snapped. He did his little evil smirk. "Can you please go?" I growled. "Sure." he chuckled. I texted Danny. 

Cat- My mom's boyfriend is absolutely the worse. I can't stand him. He gives me the creeps. He came in my room and asked who I was dating. Before that he wanted nothing to deal with me.  I know you walked me home an hour ago, but would you like to come over for dinner?

Danny- I'm sorry Cat. Just ignore him. Your mom will realize he's not good for you two. I could ask my dad. He'll let me. 

Cat- It's not your fault. I try. And this is the first time he asked me personal question. Thank you so much. I'll walk half way to meet you so you won't have to walk all the way alone. 

Danny- I'll see you in a little (: 

I get on my shoes and a sweat shirt head down stairs. "I'll be back. Can you send another plate and silverware for someone?" I ask heading out the door, "Be careful sweetie. Sure, I will." she yelled. As I walked the door, Vlad stared at me until I shut the door. 

Danny's pov 

My dad made me stay in for the night. But I can't do that to Cat. I turn ghost and fly over to wear she is. "Hey Winterrose." I wink, she smacked my chest lightly. "Danny Phantom." she kissed me. "We have to hurry up before my mom worries." she squeaked. I hid behind a garbage can to change into human. We finally reached her house. "Hi Danny." her mom smiled at me. "Hi Ms. Matthews."  I hug her. Her mom likes me a lot. I enter the dinning room and then I see him. Vlad. "Danny. Nice to see you again." he smirked. Cat turned around and looked shocked. "I'm guessing this is your boyfriend." he smirked. "Be nice." her mom spoke up. He just grinned a devilish grin. Cat sat right next to her mom, and I sat next to Cat. "So how are your parents Danny?" he asked while pouring wine into his glass. "Good." I said putting food on my plate.  He kept on asking questions like how Cat and I met, how are we. I'm guessing Cat doesn't know about him being half ghost too. But he knows her. Cat and I were done. "Can we be excused?" Cat asked, "Sure thing sweetie." she smiled at us both. We walked up to her room. I walked in first and she walked in and shut the door and smiled. I knew it was a fake smile because after she did, she screamed, "How do you know Vlad!". "Look, him, and my parents went to school together and my dad worked on the ghost portal. My dad isn't the brightest, and it blew up in Vlad's face. And he turned half ghost and he's bad. Very bad." I said in one long breath. "Are you kidding me?! My mom is dating an evil halfie?" she was freaking out. "Sh, don't say anything. Only him and I know this no one else. And I believe he knows who you are. He knows Ember you know?" She had tears in her eyes. "He could tell her where I am and she could kill me and I wouldn't be able to grow up with you. That's all I want is to be a normal girl." I walk over to her and wrap my arms around her. "Sometimes you can't be normal." I spoke up. She turned around and hugged me. She was tiny. She came up to my chest and that's about it. She snuggled into my chest. "I promise. I won't let nothing happen to you." she looked up to me and kissed me. "Sorry to interrupt but I think it's time for Danny to go home." Vlad came in. "You're not my father. My mom didn't say anything to me about him going home." Cat yelled at him. He stood there and took it. "Danny Fenton. What did I tell you. It's a school night. Home young man." my parents came in. Man this was embarrassing. I kiss Cat on the cheek and I walked over to them. We finally reached the car. "What were you thinking? Your father told you no." my mom spoke up. "She wanted me to come over for dinner for me to meet her mom's boyfriend. But it turns out I already met him." I say looking out in the window. "Just glad he got over mom." Jasmine spoke up. She smirked at me. I gave the most disgusted look. Her smirk went away. "I need to talk to you when we get home." I tell her. She nods. We finally reached the house. "Danny, now off to your room." my mom yelled while pointing her little ghost invention to the stairs. "You wanted to talk to me?" Jasmine came in, "Cat is in danger. Remember Ember? Yeah that's her sister. And she's trying to kill her." I say looking out the window. "What does that have to deal with Vlad?" she cocked an eyebrow, "Vlad is half ghost and half human too. He knows Ember and Ember knows him. He's evil Jaz." she started to laugh. "It's not funny." her face got serious. "This girl is in serious danger isn't she?" I nod and I felt some tears in my eyes. She hugged me. "We're going to save this girl. ".
