Chapter Thirteen

Cat's pov 

There stood in front of us was Skulker. "Danny. I'm scared." I manage to get out. I feel a big bump behind my throat. Skulker's electric green eyes caught mine. It felt like his eyes were burning into my soul. Danny stood in front of me and protected me. But I know this my fight. I don't want him to get hurt. "Ember has been looking for you for a while now. You know that right?" he said getting closer. "I'm going ghost!" Danny yelled. God that never got old. I didn't remember how to turn ghost. Till I hear a voice in the back of my mind. It sounded familiar. Jack. "Just sing your heart out Little Red. That talent of yours can do amazing things." I remember he told me. I sing a loud and long note and I turned ghost. I felt my body go cold. "Aw, look at the halfy couple." he mocked us. I looked into Danny's eyes that were green, were filled with anger. "What do you guys want with me any way?" I spat. "Ember wants you. How many times do I have to make that clear?!" he yelled and came darting my direction. I freaked out and I turned invisible. I appeared next to Danny, 'Just stay behind me. I don't want you to get hurt again." he said. I just shook my head, I didn't want him to get hurt. Next thing I know, I see Danny screaming and Skulker was on the floor. They went at it a couple times, and Danny flew back and hit the wall."Danny!", I couldn't take it anymore. I manage to let out a little squeak. While that squeak came out, a little white light came out. I squeaked again, and accidentally hit Danny' butt. "Ouch." he said turning towards me, I can't help but smirk "Sorry.". I manage to control  it and keep on hitting Skulker.

Danny's pov 

Cat kept on fighting him off. I was pretty shocked when she kept on hitting him. "Keep going Cat! You're doing good." I yell. I get out the Fenton Thermos and catch Skulker. I turn human, but Cat just falls to the ground. "I'm all light headed." she said, "No more powers for you." I say helping her up. The last school bell rang, Cat hurried up and turned human again. "Take me home." she said, I can't help but laugh. We go outside, and I turn ghost again. She hops on my back and I fly her home. I stick her in her window, and watch her go to her bed. I sit on the window ledge. "Come here." she said. I felt my face turning red, "Thank you for taking me home." she said. Her soft voice was a little bit scratchy. "Anything for you." I smile. I sit next to her bed and watch her slowly fall asleep. I felt bad for the girl. All she does is worry about everyone else, except her. "See you tomorrow Cat." I kiss her forehead, and fly to Tucker's house. "Hey there buddy." he said smiling, "You look beat." Sam added in. "Tell me about it. Ember is paying people to find Cat." I tell them. Sam just shook her head, "This girl is trouble Danny. You could get hurt.", "Yeah well, I like her a lot. I don't care if she's 'trouble'. She needs my help." I growl. I don't get why Sam has something against Cat, and I want to know what's her issue is. 

Sam's pov 

Great. Now he's going to ask me what's my issue with Cat is. "What's your issue with Cat." he asked. I knew it, "Look it's not like I have an issue with her. It's just that Ember is going to get the best ghost hunters out there, and you're going to get hurt. Also, it seems that Cat isn't the brightest with all her powers that much yet, and on that term, you better teach her quickly. Because one of these days, you're not going to be there and she's going to get hurt. And I know you. You're going to think it's your fault that she's hurt. But she's always with you. She's like you're number one priority. She's a big girl, she can handle herself.". He just looks at me with a shocked expression on his face. The point had to be made. "Woah." Tucker broke the awkward silence. "I have to go." Danny said getting up. "Look what you did Sam. You made him upset, and now he's leaving." Tucker said, he didn't even look at me when he left. "Whatever. I have to go home anyway." I say. I know I was iffy about Cat and I's relationship. Sometimes I could handle her, other times I can't. I get to my house and I open up my bedroom door and there someone stood looking out the window. "Ember?" I feel my face scrunch up. She turns around and she has a devilish grin on her face, "So, Sam we meet again.I need a favor of you".
