I smiled as I stepped outside of the prison doors.cool wind blew my hair making me shiver a little.
After serving four and a half hard years I was finally set free from the hell home I became accustomed to;prison.
I stood still for awhile awaiting for my ride but then I came to realization that I have spoken to anyone since..that day so no one knew that I was being released today.
A tear slid down my cheek,he would have been here waiting for me to walk out of those gates with a smile on his face and wide arms but he's not.I quickly wiped the tear off of my cheek,he's alive I know he is and if he isn't lets just say it won't be pretty.
I sighed and kicked a rock on the ground I gripped the bag with all my belongings in it and started walking,where? I don't know.
A car horn made me lift my head up I looked up to see a matte black Range Rover.
The Windows went down and Mel's happy face showed.
"You going to get in the car or stand there all day"
I smiled,not a big kool aid smile but a convincing smile.
She got out the car and walked over pulling me into a hug in the middle of the hug I felt something wet on my neck.
"Mel please don't cry" I said wiping her tears.
She weakly smiled,"ok for you I won't come on everyone is waiting"
I nodded and opened the passenger side of the door hopping in.
I looked over at her,she looked different her once fit skinny body was now thick,and her once sun kissed skin was a shade darker and her once long hair was now in a shoulder length bob,and her skin had a radiant glow to it she was so beautiful.
"damn girl I missed you" she yelled hitting the dash board as we stopped at a red light.
"I missed you too crazy" I laughed something I haven't done in awhile.
"you should see baby K girl he truly isn't a baby anymore"
My smile quickly dropped,my baby he probably didn't even remember me.
I didn't reply I stayed silent for the rest I was truly lost for words.
"Ok boo boo kitty come on"
I stepped out of the car and walked up the marble pathway behind her.
"Welcome to my home" I stepped into the rather large home and looked around.
"I love it" I said lowly,all I wanted to do was take a shower and eat.
She smiled "I read your mind so come on let me get you some clothes"
After I showered I walked back into the guest room and saw a burgundy body con dress sitting on the bed with a note sitting beside it.
Slip this on boo then meet me downstairs.

I grabbed the bottle of lotion off the dresser and rubbed it all over my body and put on some deodorant I then stepped into the new bra and panty set,now here comes the dress.
A mirror hung on the wall across from the bed and as I was lifting up the dress I caught my reflection and starred I looked so sloppy so out of place.I then touched my new friend that I made in jail,a long scar that ran from the nape of my neck down the side of my shoulder to my stomach,I froze up thinking about how I got that scar.
I quickly snapped out of it and slipped on the tight fitting dress it stuck to my body like glue and it looked like I barely had a stomach well from my perspective.
I cleaned up after my self and hurried downstairs I shouldn't keep Mel waiting any longer.
As soon as my foot touch the last step she pulled me into a room and sat me in a chair throwing a cape and towel over me.
"I figured I would do your makeup and hair after you put on the dress so nothing would get messed up"
I nodded "ok"
She spent a good hour curling my hair and applying makeup to my face.
"and we are done" she placed a mirror in my hand.
I smiled I looked like the old scar but I surely didn't feel like the old her.
"Thank you I love it,but where are we going?" I wanted to know why I was getting all dressed up.
"That my dear is a surprise"

"Reservations for Nelson" Mel said to the hostess.
"Yes ma'am right this way" I tried balancing myself in the heels I had on its been so long I forgot how to walk in them.
The hostess opened the door and everyone jumped out screaming surprise.They threw me a welcome home party.
I couldn't stop the tears that fell from my eyes I soon just busted in to tears I couldn't control myself when I looked around the room and I didn't see him.
Mama,Sasha and Mel walked over to me pulling me into a hug.
"It's ok baby it's ok my grand baby is alive and he's going to come back to you baby it's ok"mama counseled me as she rocked me in my arms.
After a few inspiring words being whispered into my ear I finally calmed down.
Mel wiped my eyes,"good thing your wearing water proof make up huh?" we laughed.
"Hey sis" I turned to see two smiling faces "Khalif Dmitri I missed you guys"
They pulled me into a hug and both kissed the side of my face.
"How you feeling youngin' word on the street you been doing some time in the pin yo ass even got buffer to damn got a little goatee going on I see ya pimpin"
I laughed,Dmitri surely knew how to make someone laugh.
"Please get this fool away from me" I said to Khalif,he just shook his head.
"sis he been this way since birth ain't no changing him"
"so Dmitri how you like being a daddy?" I teased.
The smile on his face dropped and I knew I said something wrong.
"The baby wasn't mines but hey we can talk about this later you got two people who've been begging to see you" he pointed over to the corner where two little boys sat.
I covered my mouth my baby he was so big and he looked just like Khalil,so much it hurt my heart to look at him.the other little boy looked just like-
I turned "big bro is finally a daddy congrats" how could Mel not tell me this? She ran her mouth about everything else.
"yep she finally let his ass hit without a condom" I laughed at Dmitri's fool ass.
"Khalil,Kane come here"
They ran over and the whole time my eyes stay locked on K.
"Look who's here" the two boys looked my way.
While Kane tried to figure out who I was K jumped right into my arms.
"Mommy"
