I laid on the couch, watching as Devin tapped away at his phone, paying not attention to me. I hadn’t seen him in a million years and he was too busy texting someone, (probably one of the boys who he’d been touring with for months) to even acknowledge me.

I threw a pillow at him, catching him off guard and causing him to drop his phone in his lap. He looked up and gawked at me and I crossed my arm. He rolled his eyes, “What?”

"I’m hungry."

"So go make some food, there’s poptarts in the cabinet," He said, returning to his phone and waving his hand towards the kitchen.

I sat up and cocked my neck. “Seriously?

He threw his head back and whined, “What is the problemmm?”

"I haven’t seen you in months and you won’t even take me to breakfast?" I snapped, throwing another pillow in his direction.

He sighed, sent one more text, and stood up. “Well, grab your hoodie.”

"Why, where are we going?" I said, jumping to his side.

He put his arm around me and smiled, “To breakfast.”

When he pulled up to Denny’s, I saw all the guys waiting by the door, wearing big coats and layers. They obviously weren’t very used tot he cold. I ran up to them and puled them into a group hug, Devin trailing behind.

We headed inside and held back our laughter as our waitress, an lady with silver hair and dangling kitten earrings, seated us with caution. All the guys ordered hot drinks, but I just smiled, “Chocolate milk.”

Ricky chuckled, “You’re such a four year old.”

I ignored his comment and flipped through the menu. Ordering a huge omelet to share with Devin, I watched as Ricky skillfully cut his waffle up and build fort with it. I laughed, popping a mushroom into my mouth, “Who’s the four year old now?”

He nodded to the coloring sheet and crayons I requested, smirking, “Still you.”

Chris was still hungry after eating a big stack of pancakes, and decided to get another order, even though the rest of us were ready to leave. Wanting to get out of the restaurant just as badly as the rest of us, gave one to Josh and ate the rest pretty quickly.

After Danny’s, I said goodbye to the guys and Devin and I got back in the car. As soon as he plopped down in the drivers seat, he was tapping at his phone again. “Seriously?” I groaned.

"I’m just turning it off," He smiled, concealing it in the glove compartment. Taking my hand and pulling out of the parking lot he smiled, “Let’s go for a drive."
