Adrien's P.O.V.

Marinette and I are spending the lunch break together, catching up. We're swapping stories about transformations, kwamis, and all the times we wondered who the other was. It's amazing to see how quickly she opened up after she found out I was just her Cat. All the awkwardness and shyness gone, I can really tell she's my Lady.

"It's such a relief to finally know who you are," she smiles up at me, "I've been wondering for so long."

I grin, "Yeah, me too...hey, can I ask you something?"

She nods, "Sure. What's up?"

"Is it true you have a crush on me?" I ask boldly, surprising both myself and her.

See freezes, her eyes growing wide as saucers and her cheeks turning a deep shade of read.
It's completely adorable, a voice in my mind blurts from nowhere. But, I do have to agree, her blushing is completely adorable.

I find myself reaching out and tucking a stray strand of midnight-black hair behind her ear. Her blush deepens, if that's even possible. I lean forward slightly, letting my eyes slide shut. I'm about to kiss Marinette. I'm about to kiss Ladybug. I'm about to kiss the love of my life. And then...I feel a hand pressed against my chest. It's small and warm, and incredibly strong. My lids snap open and I find my Lady staring up at me, shaking her head ever-so-slightly.

"Wh-what?" I stutter, trying to get my pounding heart under control.

"As much as I want to kiss you, Adrien," she smiles sadly, "we don't know each other."

I'm taken aback, "Of course we do!"

"Not as whole people, we don't," she insists, "until a little while ago, I thought of Chat Noir and Adrien as two different people. Don't you think we should give ourselves sometime to adjust before we jump into anything?"

As much as I hate to admit it, she has a point. I mean, even though the mask fit her almost perfectly, I still had doubts that Marinette was Ladybug because of the personality differences. So maybe waiting a little while to come to terms went the fact that these two people are the same isn't such a  bad idea.

"Okay, my Lady, whatever your heart desires," I smirk lightly, "but know this: the moment I'm sure you two are the exact same wonderful person, I'm going to kiss the hell out of you."

She giggles, "Alright, Cat, you got yourself a deal."
