Ivory grinned and stood up quickly, “I think there is a town about 20 kilometres from here, if we start walking now we’ll get there by nightfall. We’ll be able to grab a bite and stay there the night,” she said and started walking off.
Romeo sighed and stood up, mumbling something about already regretting letting her stay. He caught up to her and they walked mostly in silence the whole way.
Nightfall came in what seemed like an eternity later to Romeo and they had just gotten to the outskirts of town where only a few cottages were. Once they’d gotten to the town square the sun had set completely and the crescent moon was already high in the night sky. He looked around at the few stragglers who were quickly walking through the square, he could tell by their fast pace they were eager to get home, away from the dirty teenagers that looked almost like juvenile delinquents, by that he meant himself and Ivory.
