Fireworks (New Species Fanfiction)

Chapter 6

Flame got out of the cart not letting her leave his arms and struts into the woman dorms, he stops at the lobby to see Species women watching them with an interested expression.
"This is CJ, I called earlier to set her up in a dorm" jinx walks into the lobby, one of the females get up and walk towards CJ sniffing her cautiously.
"You smell like midnight, were you in medical? I am sunshine" she smiles showing off her canines.
"Yes, I was shot" she shrugs off the cloth on her shoulder to show the bandages, sunshine a eyes widen as she nods and gestures for them to follow her.
"She is going to be teaching classes about explosions as well, it will be interesting I was helping her make a plan" jinx grins thinking of the experiments they were putting together.
"I cannot wait, I will tell the rest of the females about it" sunshine grins. CJ watched her not sure if she was being serious, she was worried that they wouldn't take interest in the experiment like jinx was.
She glances at flame with an ache in her chest, he was attractive and she wanted to be with him. Memories flooded her mind, reminding her why she didn't date.

CJ walks into her home a grin on her face, she was so excited. She had finally gotten the job she wanted, she would be working with fireworks! She looks around the house wanting to tell Jake, she looks around until she hears noises from the bedroom. Walking to the door she cracks it open to see jake, he's on top of an unknown woman. Her heart shatters, hot tears roll down her eyes as she walks into the room. She was going to confront him, "jake" her voice cracked as his head whipped around to see her.
"CJ what are you doing here?" He growled out, he glared at her. Her face falls, she was taken aback by his comment, he was acting like he wasn't just caught cheating.
"How could you?..." She was trying to hold back her tears.
"If you weren't so fucking cold I wouldn't have to!" He sneers "now get out! We'll talk about this later!"
She snapped, she was done. She walked over to her dresser and grabbed her bag stuffing her clothes in and whatever else she needed. She managed to remember to grab her purse before leaving him. She wasn't coming back.

Her expression hardened as they took her to her room, sunshine walked around showing her where was what.
"Set me down please," her voice was soft as she glances up at him. She didn't want him to have to carry her, he let out a low growl startling her.
"I like you right here" he tightens his arms, sunshine walks over and swats him in the arm.
"Don't scare the female!" She hisses angrily, she wanted to be friends with CJ and if flame scared her human female she wouldn't want to be friends with her.
Flame growls softly before looking down at her and setting her down carefully, he stayed close to her not wanting her to leave his sight.
"We will let you get settled" sunshine smiles grabbing Jinx's and flames arms trying to tug them out of the door. CJ felt a spark of jealousy when sunshine grabbed flames arm, she caught herself turning away to get some food in her system.
Flame could smell the jealousy on her, he had to keep himself from grinning. He was very satisfied to see the small female look angry at sunshine for touching his arm. He pulled away from sunshine and nodded to her, she didn't try to grab him again because she clearly smelt the jealousy coming off of CJ. Instead she pushes Jinx out the door to leave flame and CJ alone together.
