Chapter 2

Percy’s P.O.V

                “Sir? Since when did you have manners seaweed brain?” asked Alex.

                “Hey, I’m not completely rude, besides he hasn’t done anything to make me not like him.” I respond. Alex just laughs and rolls her eyes.

                “Mr. Jackson, are you paying attention back there?” I hear the teach-sorry, professor ask.

                “Yes ma’am.” I say with a smile. 

                “As I was saying, this is the most direct route to the Gryffindor Common Room. Be careful of the staircases as they like to move around sometimes.” The professor says.  

                “Moving staircases?” asks Leo. “I bet the mechanics of how they do that is amazing.” Annabeth hits Leo upside the head and says;

                “They’re enchanted fire boy.”

                “oh.”

                “And here we are. Your dormitory will be up the stairs and to the right. Sleep well. You have a long day ahead of you tomorrow.” With that kind of grim note, we all head up the stairs to our room. 

                “This is so cool!” yells Leo. “All our stuff is here, they even have everybody paired right.”

                “It was probably Dumbledore.” Says Piper. “He seems like an extremely smart person.”

                “Or maybe he just used his wizard powers or something.” Jason tells her.

                “C’mon Alex,” I say, “Let’s get settled in.”

Alex’s P.O.V

                The room is amazing and surprisingly big for a dormitory. Somehow, they knew who’s bed to put by who.  The beds are in a circular fashion. To the left, right when you walk in is Jason and Piper. Then next to them, sort of at a diagonal angle are Leo and Annabeth.  Then in the center are Percy and I. Next to us are Hazel and Frank and next to them (even though they aren’t together) are Nico and Thalia. The beds create a circle in the middle of the room.

                There isn’t much conversation between everyone because we are all exhausted.

                “C’mon Alex,” says Percy, “Let’s get settled in.” He grabs my hand and pulls me to our spot.

                “I’m going to go put on my pajamas and crash.” I tell him.

                “Alright, I’ll be here.”

I walk into the bathroom and am surprised out how big it is. It must be enchanted because there is no way 5 showers would fit in a normal sized bathroom. Shaking my head I quickly change into my pajamas (shorts and a tank top)and walk back out. Everyone had their little privacy curtains on their beds closed expect for Percy’s and mine.

                “Everyone crashed huh?” I ask while putting my clothes away.

                “Yeah, I’m not too far behind.” Percy says with a smile. We both push our two separate beds together to create a bigger one. I climb into bed as Percy closes the curtain thingy. Once we’re settled he gives me a quick kiss goodnight and we both fall asleep.
