Chapter 4: Show yourself

A/N I got some messages saying that the archer is related to the TV-series Arrow but it is actual coincidence because I never even heard of that show before you guys said it to me!

anyhow let's get on to the story! ~Rob

"To find that archer" this is the sentence I said 2 weeks ago and I already regret it. we saw the archer 2 times already and he wounded 2 of us. Jace and I were the only ones that were good enough to wound him and he still won because he could disappear out of thin air. we were all tired off finding him and figuring out who he was that it took a toll on us all, we were less alert just hunkering for that little bit of sleep. but today we decided to take a rest day and we almost slept the whole day until there was a knock on the door of the institute. I woke up from that and saw that everybody had woken up by it. I quickly checked the time and saw that it was 11:34 in the evening "who knocks in basically the middle of the night" I hear Isabelle "it's not in the middle Isabelle " for me it is shut up!" We all quickly get dressed in shadow hunter clothes and grab our favorite weapons I grab my dagger and run downstairs along with the rest of the institute. we all grabbed our weapons not expecting to fight it is only to make a first impression. " I hope its a new shadow hunter or someone of my family, " I said because I missed my family dearly much. I open the door being excited and I see...

I open the door and I see.. No one, "no one's here guys! I say surprised and with a hint of sadness

"Too bad" "shame" I'm going back to bed" I hear from the group. We're about to step inside but I hesitate. I quickly look at my surroundings and I see the archer sitting in the dark tree besides the institute. He's hard to notice because of his dark green outfit. I pretend i didn't see anything and take a step inside the institute but then i quickly turn around and throw my dagger next to his head, he didn't even jump because he was startled or scared. The rest of the institute saw what i did and runs to me. "Guys look," Jace says because he looked in the direction is was looking.

The archer chuckled in the way one only could describe as diabolical and jumped down from the tree but mid- air he disappeared "whaa-" alec couldn't even finish his sentence because the archer brang his knife to his throat "everyone I intend to do no harm so everyone put down your weapons" he said in a natural threatening voice. We hesitated a bit to long because he screamed "NOW" everybody put down their weapons and when everybody had their weapons down the archer's face was a bit less strict and he smiled "now lets go inside and I'll tell you everything. we went after him eager to known what he is and why he did everything.

apparently this guy knew the place because he went straight to the lobby and sat down on Hodge's chair. when everybody but Jace was here he said "sit you guys I'm not that mean!'' everybody sat down and he was about to speak when Jace came in. the archer saw him and I saw something twinkle in his eye but I couldn't sense any emotion from him. he walked over to Jace and threw of his hoodie so we could see his face. he then turned to jace and said "brother"
