"Oh I'm so excited!" Danielle bounced up and down like a little girl as we walked down the sidewalk.

"Danielle, calm down, it's just an album." I chuckled at her childlike behavior.

"Woah woah woah," she grabbed both my arms, stopping me in the middle of the sidewalk, "this is not JUST an album. This is the new The 1975 album!" She replied as we continued on our walk. I giggle and rolled my eyes, then my mind wondered to our friendship. It was amazing how close Danielle and I had become in just a couple weeks and she would never know just how important this relationship was to me. She literally saved my life.
We turned a corner and there on the right was the record store that Danielle insisted on coming to. We walked through the store and the bell sounded, announcing our presence to the entire store.

"Hi! Welcome to Criminal Records," a voice sounded from behind the counter. "Oh hi Danielle!"

"Hey Skyler! This is my friend, Phoebe, she's new in town." She introduces.

"Oh hello!" He has a permanent smile plastered on his face and bright blue eyes. He comes out from behind the counter to reveal an average stature and a muscular frame. "So what can I do for ya Danielle?" He asks, directing his attention back to her.

"I'm here for the new 1975 album," she states in the most matter of fact way.

"Let me guess? On vinyl." He states as if he knew exactly what she was going to say.

"Is there any other way to listen to it?" She says more than asks.

"Well unfortunately, I don't know where our vinyl for that album is but let me go ask the manager, stay right there and I'll be right back." He instructs. My eyes wonder around the store, hundreds of albums all in the most organized display. You could spend all day in here, exploring every genre they have to offer. I'm brought back to reality when I hear Skyler's loud voice again.

"Alright guys this is the manager, Jack."

"Jack?!" I couldn't believe it. Of course he was the manager! Why won't this guy go away?!

"So....I'm guessing you guys know each other then?" Skyler's eyes wondered back and forth between us. I felt Danielle nudge my side, I guess I was staring.

"Uh..yeah we do." I stammered.

"So I heard you're looking for vinyl, very nice choice." Jack quickly changed the subject and motioned for Danielle to follow him. He pulled a crate down from one of the higher shelves (which explains why Skyler had no idea where they were), flips through some of the albums then pulls one out.
"Here ya go!" He hands it over to Danielle and she has the biggest smile on her face, like a kid in a candy shop.

"Thank you thank you!" She exclaims before following Skyler to the counter to check out.

"So, nice to see you again. Surprised you haven't run away by now."  I hear the sarcasm in his voice.

" I didn't run away," I turn to him, "I jogged."

"Oh I see," he chuckles. There's a moment of silence for a while before he speaks up again. "And ya know I agree with you, I don't really see the point in getting vinyl either when you could just by a regular CD, it's all the same songs." I scoff at his attempt to try and relate to me.

"What are you talking about? I love vinyl." I act offended, trying to mess with him.

"Oh..uh yeah me too.." He stammers, suddenly becoming so nervous. I struggle to keep a serious face and my scowl turns to a grin.

"I'm joking," I assure him, "relax." He lets out a deep breath and tries to recover by changing the subject.

"Uh hey Danielle, if you really want to get a good experience, they're playing a gig in LA this weekend. We could all go." Danielle lets out a girly shriek and becomes the fan girl I had no idea she was.
