KEVIN
"Clo what happened you?" I heard Ciara ask Aaron's ex hook-up as she ran to her side with worry plastered on her flawless face.
"I'm fiiiiiinnnnneeee. Everything issssss finnnne. There sky blue and and and grass be green" She slurred in response, still staring wide eyed at Aaron who was now crouched on the floor cleaning up the broken glass trying to avoid being recognised by the drunken girl no doubt.
"Oh God she's still drunk sorry you guys Clo's not usually like this. Don't worry about the glass Aaron I'll take care of it. Would ye two mind taking her upstairs? The spare room is second door on the right." Ciara softly spoke as she began to swap places with Aaron. He gave me a worried look to which I responded with a lopsided smile. I went to the other side of 'Clo', gently wrapping her arm over me while Aaron cautiously did the same on the other side.
"OHH MY GOOOODDDDD! I know youuuuu! You weren't half baddd in the bed" Clo shouted at Aaron excitedly. He blushed and shyly responded a simple thanks as the three of us reached the bottom of Ciara's stairs. So much for Aaron's attempt of not being recognised.
By the time we reached the top of the stairs Clo had passed out. Aaron carried her bridal style as I opened the door to the bedroom. It was a cosy cream walled room with a king sized bed in the centre. I watched by the door as Aaron gently placed her on the bed and wrapped the sheets over her. As I turned to leave the room I almost missed the quick kiss Aaron gave Clo on her forehead as he stroked some of her brown hair behind her ear. Almost.
Ciara was just finished disposing of the broken glass when we re-entered the kitchen. Her hair now placed in a messy bun making her look even more sexy than before if that's even possible. Aaron cleared his throat to get her attention as she hadn't noticed us enter the room.
"Thanks a million guys. There's no way I'd be able to take her up by myself. So uh what are you guys up to for the day?"
The truth was Aaron was visiting his uncle in the next town over and I was planning on going with him simply because I'd nothing better to do. I was just about to reply when non other than Aaron interrupted me. Typical.
"Well actually-" Oh god I know that tone. He's up to something. "- I'm going to visit my uncle in the next town over but Kev here has no plans" he stated giving me a not so subtle elbow while wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. I could feel the light blush on my cheeks. Does he want me to die of embarrassment?
Thank god Ciara didn't encourage his childish behaviour. She must be used to guys trying to play wingman for their friends approaching her. Of coarse she is, just look at her. She just briefly giggled in response as she looked at Kevin. Why doesn't she look at me? God I feel so invisible. Should I leave? She's probably wishing I'd leave so Aaron could have his way with her. God I'm so ugly, of coarse she wouldn't look at me. These thoughts began to creep into my mind and I began to suddenly feel self conscious being shirtless in the middle of her kitchen. Ciara's sweet voice interrupted my thoughts.
"Kevin?"
"Kevin? Kev? Are you okay? You look lost." She waved her hand in front of my face as I snapped back to reality.
"Yeah uh.. I'm okay.. Uh we better get going Aaron." I turned my head only to notice Aaron was gone. Where is he? Sweet laughter enveloped the room.
"He left Kevin. He said he'd to go to his uncles there's was some sort of emergency and he'd to leave right away. You must have been pretty lost in thought" she said between chuckles. Aaron is a dead man! What am I meant to do now?!
"Ya uh sorry I better go to thanks for uh everything.. Ah where is my shirt?" I asked nervously, wanting to leave as soon as possible to save myself from even more embarrassment.
"Oh ya I almost forget it's in the dryer follow me. Uh y-you spilt some drink on it so I washed it." A light blush appeared on her cheeks which made her look adorable.
"Uh t-thanks." I stuttered realising it was just the two of us again. I followed her out of the kitchen and down the hall. She got my shirt from the dryer and handed it to me. I put it on hastily as we walked back towards the kitchen. It smelled amazing. So does she no doubt.
"So why are you in such a rush if your doing nothing for the day?" Oh my god. Does she want me to stay? Should I just run away? I struggle to put an answer together. I'm so pathetic.
"I.. Uh... No j-j-just.." Great going Kev, really good use of words. I mentally slapped myself.
"Well I'm up to nothing either. Wanna watch a movie or something? I-I mean only if your bored or whatever you don't have to like we're basically strangers I just don't like being alone and you seem nice I-it's okay if you don't wanna I mean I -" is this really happening oh my god. She is so cute when she rambles.
"S-sure" I gave her a small smile as we both walked into the sitting room. Where do I sit? What do I say? Oh god so many questions. Should I make a move? Well obviously I shouldn't. I'm plain old Kev and she's her. She's perfect.
God what has Aaron gotten me into?
