"You two should do it."

"I don't even know him," I say slamming my locker door.

"finnneee," Layna complains.

--------------------

"Cinema tonight?" Layna asks grabbing her keys.

"yep, I got it." I sheepishly smile and start up my car. Driving home I get a text from 'unknown'? okay then.

From Unknown-2:36PM:
"are u doing anything tonight? :)"

To Unknown-2:36PM:
"uhh, do I know you?"

From Unknown-2:37PM:
"yes. I'm Calum. remember?"

To Unknown-2:37PM:
"I don't remember, sorry."

I quickly shove my phone back into my pocket and drive the rest of the way home. Calum? who's Calum, and why was he texting me?

------------------

Once I had gotten home, I started practicing guitar some more. I first played guitar when I was in 7th grade and kinda just quit. I lost all my memory of playing guitar. I don't really remember anything 4 years after 7th grade. I don't know why, I just don't.

"And hey darling, I hope you're good tonight,

and I know you don't feel right when I'm leavin'

yeah I want it, but no I don't need it, tell me somethin' sweet to get me by,

cause I can't come back home till they're singin' la, la la la- "

I was interrupted by someone who had entered my room at, what point?

"I like your singing. you should do it more." Layna casually says as she sits down at my desk, facing me.

"you scared me," I said, my heart still rapidly beating. "and I don't sing."

"you were just singing! you sounded great! come on, you need to enter a music thingy or something. you're really good," Layna pushes.

"no."

"pleeeaaassseee."

"no"

"come on, I have tickets for All Time Low and you're not coming unless you enter something."

"but Lay-"

"deal?" She cuts me off.

"fine. Deal."

she then holds out her hand, shaking mine.

"come on, I'll buy us some McDonalds and we can hang out at my place. I also have a surprise for you." She squeals and runs downstairs to her car.

------------------------

"welcome to McDonalds order when you're ready!" The voice spoke.

"I'll have the um, number 14 medium meal please, with a dr. pepper." Layna yelled back. "what do you want to have?"

"The number 16, medium, with a dr. pepper."

Layna repeated my order to the server, we pulled up to the window, got our food, and it was straight to Layna's house.

"sorry I don't have ice cream," Layna says walking in the house, knowing that'll be my first question. I frown and walk to the counter, unwrapping my food.

"hey that kid that gave us our order was Tyler Joseph from 8th grade, remember him?" Layna questions whilst shoving her burger in her face.

"no, I don't." I slump back into my chair sipping my dr. pepper.

"he's the one that kissed you! how do you not remember?!" She threw one of her fries at me.

"I don't know! I don't remember anything for 4 years after 7th grade. it's weird, okay?" I say eating the fry she threw at me.

"damn Daniel," Layna froze for two seconds after those two words, like she remembered something. "so that means you don't remember what I did to you in the 8th grade," she said with a smirk on her face.

"Layna, what did you do!?" I jokingly yell.

"oh, nothing. forget about it," she smiles evilly. "hey, I forgot, come into the bathroom I have your surprise." Layna says.

"okay."

she leads me into the bathroom, a row of purple hair dye and bleach ect.

"we're dying my hair?!" I ask, jumping up and down.

"only if you agree to go out with Calum." she smiles evilly, yet again.

"Calum? the kid that texted me? I don't know him," I say, confused.

"what? you two used to hang out in the 9th and 10th grade! you know what, let's just do your hair," she laughs, and opens the hair supplies, soon covering my head with different substances.

I guess I gotta figure out who this 'Calum' kid is.
