BEEP!BEEP!BEEP!

"Layna shut off the alarm!" I yelled shoving my head under my pillow. The sound continued.

"fINE. I'll do it myselF" I said reaching over and turning it off.

Today was the day. The day I was gonna take Layna out somewhere because of all she's done for me. She's kinda like my sister honestly. She had kept telling me she really wanted a tattoo but she couldn't ever afford it. What she doesn't know is she's gonna be getting that tattoo today.

I got up putting on an All Time Low tank top and black skinny jeans, topping it off with a flannel and some white Vans.

"Damn Daniel," Layna said as I walked downstairs to greet her. I gave a little laugh and walked to the kitchen, as she kept laughing, finding herself completely hilarious.

"I have something for you," I say, my eyes fixed on my bowl of cereal.

"Oh yeah? is it a band shirt? oH! Maybe it's tickets for Twenty One Pilots!" Layna jumped up and down.

"As much as I wish it were tickets, it's not. Here," I smile as she walks up and takes the tattoo gift card from me.

"Oh my God! Thank you!" She yells and hugs me, making me unable to breathe. "I can get my tattoo now! Can we go today?"

"Yes. That was my plan. Now go get dressed and meet me down here."

She smiles and hugs me again, rushing up the stairs. I could hear her feet ubove me running around the room, which was amusing to me.

"Let's go!" Layna sprints down the stairs in her usual blue flannel and skinny jeans, and out the door.

•••••••••••••••

Once we got to Iron Street Tattoo, Layna gives printouts of what she wants to the artist.

"So you want the anchor and the triangles?" The artist asks.

"Yes."

"And for you?" The artist turns to me.

"Oh I um... I wasn't planning on getting one," I look at my hands.

"come on! I'll pay for it with the gift card. Please?" Layna practically begs me.

"Fine. I have been wanting a tattoo on my wrist that just says '™'. Could you do that?" I turn to the artist.

"Definitely! But I'll have to get you a different artist, if that alright with you," She smiles awaiting my answer.

"That's perfectly fine," I return the smile.

After a couple minutes of waiting for the artists to get ready, we are brought into the separate rooms.

My eyes grow wide at the artist as he enters the room. A tall muscular figure that's quite thin but not real lanky. His fluffy dark hair and mysterious brown eyes compliment each other nicely as they match well together. As does the the contradiction between his round baby face cheeks and his knife sharp jawline.

"Wait... Sky?" His eyes grow wide as well, leaving me uncomfortable, considering I don't know this person.

"Uh yeah, um, do I know you?" I say after clearing my throat.

His expression seems to sadden and he speaks softly, "It's me, Calum...?"

He's the one who's been texting me? The one Layna says would be perfect for me?

"I'm sorry, I don't know you. Or remember you, at least," I felt bad for the boy. He seemed so nice and exited to see me, but I just don't know who he is.

He clears his throat, "So um, what are you getting today?" He weakly smiles.

"Just the '™' mark in my wrist. Nothing big," I say sitting in the chair.

"Sounds good," He smiles at me and ready's the tattoo gun.

He pours all these different numbing chemicals on my wrist, before taking the tattoo gun and turning it on.

His touch felt so comforting as he held my hand between his thumb and palm. I slightly winced as the needle first touched my skin.

"So, are you here alone? Or did you bring someone?" He casually asks trying to make things less awkward.

"I came here with my friend Layna. It was supposed to be just her getting a couple tattoos but she begged me to get one," I quietly laugh to myself.

He looks up at me and smiles, making my heart melt.

We kept talking about some of my stories from when I was little, him sharing some of his own.

"Alright, you're finally free!" He laughs. Did I mention that his laugh is completely contagious?

"Thank you! It's beautiful!" I say.

"So are you," He says.

I look up to see he was already staring at me with his beautiful brown eyes. He quickly looks back down at his hands.

"Oh, um, sorry, I didnt-" I cut him off

"No it's okay," I giggle. I fUCKING GIGGLED WHAT THE HELL.

Once he looked less uncomfortable, I got up and took out my phone to check the time. 11:30PM. Just in time for lunch.

"Hey, um.. Calum, is it?" I ask looking back up at him.

"Yeah, Calum Hood," he says.

I smile at his name. I kinda love it actually.

"Anyway, I better go see how Layna is doing," I say putting my phone back into my pocket.

"Okay. I'll see you around, alright?" He says, making it obvious he wants to see me again.

I wave and exit the room, going into the lobby where Layna was sitting on a couch, eyes glued to her phone.

"Hey!" She gets up and pulls out my arm so she could see my fresh ink.

"It's beautiful! Who was your artist?" She asks me with happiness in her eyes. You could practically feel the happiness and rays of sunshine radiating off of her.

"Um, Calum," I said looking down.

"oHMYGOD SKY!" She says jumping up and down.

"Calm down Africa is trying to sleep," I laugh, looking at Layna's ink.

"Let's pay and go to lunch," I say walking to the counter to pay.

After we payed about $40 total, considering we both just got really small tattoos, we got back into the car and drove to Wendy's.

"I still think you two should do it," Layna says, kicking her feet up on the dashboard.

"I don't know him Layna, and put your feet down I just cleaned in here," Layna furrowed her eyes at me, not sure if she wanted me and Calum to be a thing, or for her to have her comfort more.

I kinda like this kid.
