Soo...hi. My name is Monroe. Nice to meet yo-...mmm...all I can think of is Dan Howell...sorry!
Anyways! Yes. The story. The one I promised you. Yup. Well...you probably need to know who I am to know what's going on. This story is from my point of view so I'm kinda the main character. I'm in every chapter. I mean...you could skip this if you want but you might be a little confused...or you could take your chances...yeah do that. But the rest of you can keep reading if ya want.
So like I said, my name is Monroe and I am 21. I also like to pretend I'm good at singing and crap like that. I helped start a band by the name of FLaw. Yeah...you have to type it like that. Normally all the letters are print except for the L, that's cursive- ya know what! Never mind!
At first me and the other five members of the band you will get the chance to meet later, all started by doing music video covers on YouTube. We would come out with a new music video each month. Sometimes it would be a normal cover, all of us sitting in a studio messing with the song, and other times it would be an elaborate music video. Regardless, I would direct and edit all of them. That is when we gained popularity.
Seeing that people thought our little cover band was pretty good we decided that we would make a song of our own. An EP. The first song we came out with was titled "The Revolution"...excuse the cheesy name. We were all like, 17 and 18 when we made this song. But people liked it and asked/demanded more. We were excited to comply too.
Eventually we got noticed by some radio stations...actually...I really don't think you care about this all. Okay. Let's time skip then. Okay?
About a year back, we're in London. We got the chance to part of the covers all the big leagues were doing at BBC radio 1 station. We did a FOB song because one of the first covers we ever started with was FOB. Just felt right, ya know?
So we get noticed by Fulled By Ramen and they tell us if we make a CD they'll produce it...yeah. At that point people were wondering how many of our EP's (there was about eight at that point) we were gonna put on the record. ...Okay. Again, I'm getting off track. I'm sorry. You came here for FOB themselves and what happened. I'm sorry. Time Skip again.
It's a little under a week that our first album came out and it's getting a lot of positive reviews. Next thing we know, FBR is calling us in saying they want us to meet some people. We go in, sure enough, it's FOB. Why are they here? Because they are going on tour and want us to join along...holy hell.
So maybe one day I will tell you the many tales of what the tour with FOB was like, but that is still not what this story is about. This story actually takes place a week after the tour ended. So..yeah. Now we can start...sorry.
