(I'm......i'm......sorry)

I could feel something different about the atmosphere when we got home, but I assumed it was just the anxiety Phil was feeling radiating off of him like the fucking sun in Teletubbies. I was scared for him too, of course, but I was more like the moon. I reflect light (or emotions) but I don't usually radiate them.

Phil slid into his bed and tried to hide from the world as soon as we got home. This kind of behavior from him made me even more nervous. He never ever acted this way.

"Dan.......can you hold me, please?" He asked quietly when I slipped into bed next to him.

"Of course, sunshine. C'mere" I mumbled, pulling his warm body towards me. "You're gonna be okay, but I f-" I was cut off by a loud noise. It wasn't as if we weren't used to loud noises, but this one seemed to be coming from inside the flat.

Phil jumped and whimpered slightly, breathing turning to short strained gasps.

"Breathe, Phil. I'm going to go see what that was."

I slowly crept my way to the kitchen, armed with a Totoro and nothing more for protection. As I approached I saw a tall, dark figure rummaging through the drawers.

My original plan was to creep up behind him and try to strangle him but apparently I had walked in too loudly; he turned around as soon as i entered the room.

"Why are you here?" I asked, trying to keep my voice from shaking. This was literally the scariest thing that had ever happened to me.

"I don't want to hurt you. Just give me him" the man said, pointing with his gun to Phil, whom I hadn't noticed had crept up behind me.

"No! He's ill! I'm not just.....no!" I yelled, standing protectively in front of him. I noticed him nonchalantly calling the police on his phone and I hoped that the murderer didn't notice.

"Then you'll have to suffer the consequences, Danny boy" he said in an evil voice, laughing afterwards. I wondered for a split second how he knew my name, then remembered I was a YouTuber.

"If you want to get him you'll have to go through me first." I threatened.

He laughed again and started advancing towards us just as I heard the sirens coming into earshot.

Time seemed to stop completely as he raised his gun and I moved to protect Phil the best I could. Phil's legs were shaking, both out of fear and exhaustion from standing up so long, probably.

The last words I heard was Phil whispering "it'll be okay, Dan" in his sweet little voice. Then I heard the trigger go off before the pain registered. Everything was black, eternal blackness forever.

Goodbye, internet

(A/N: I'm really really really really really really really sorry. The original plan wasn't to end it here, but I feel like it was getting kind of repetitive and needed to be ended. I'll talk about all that in my End Note chapter, after the epilogue. Yes, there will be an epilogue and it's already written. SOOOO if you want it out you have to read *Dan PINOF voice* THIS!

Goodbye, my little Hershey's Kisses!)
