Break Out

Working With The Enemy

 Roman and Seth followed Reed to his office, as they neared the room they saw the two Authority cops in the hallway walking towards them. As they passed them all three acknowledged the Officers with smiles, when Reed's back was to them one of the Officers tapped the files he held signalling that they had successfully got the picture and were on their way to get the rest of the evidence. Once in the office, they sat and Reed sighed as he looked at them waiting for them to tell him what they wanted.

 "Sir look, we're here because we want permission to attend Dean and Paige's court dates." Seth explained.

 "Permission huh?" Reed asked, starring at both men. "Did I or did I not tell you both to stay away from them ?"

 "Yes sir, but with all due respect we're talking about people we love, our family! We won't get involved in any way sir, we just want to be there to support them." Roman said.

 "Agents, none of this is personal, it's only business I like and respect both of you as men and Agents. As your boss, I have to take into consideration all that you two have done in regards to the case! Yes, you two made small progress, but for every step forward you took two backwards! Your judgement has been altered by your love for Dean and Paige, making your job harder. As a civilian though...I'm going to agree to your request!"

 "You are?" Roman and Seth said together smiling.

 "I'm allowing you to attend the court dates, you are to do nothing, but be spectators! If either of you do or say anything to interfere in any way I promise you I will throw you in jail! Am I understood gentlemen?" Reed explained.

 "Yes, sir!" Roman and Seth said together again.

 "Now, I..." Reed began, but was cut off by his phone ringing. "Excuse me for a minute. Hello? Yes, this is Special Agent Reed...what do you mean they never showed up? Of course I'm sure they left, two of my Agents are with them! They left a half hour ago and should have been there by now! Check again dammit, they're with Agents Woods and Kingston! Call me back as soon as you find out anything! I'll try getting in touch with my Agents, you better find them!" Reed said angrily, before he hung up.

 "What's going on sir?" Seth asked.

 "Ambrose and Paige didn't show up at court!" Reed answered upset.

 "What?" Roman said, as he and Seth faked their shock.

 "Maybe they're running late because of traffic?" Seth suggested.

 "Even if they ran into traffic, they would have been there by now!"

 "What you're telling us is my boyfriend and Seth's girlfriend who are under the care of your Agents, are missing?" Roman said upset, as both he and Seth played their part like they rehearsed.

 "I'm saying nothing to you two! I'm going to figure out what the hell happened and if I find out you two had anything to do with it, I will personally arrest you both and throw you in jail!" Reed warned them angrily.

 "We had nothing to do with this Agent Reed, how could we?" Seth answered.

 "Get the hell out of here, I have two prisioners to find!" Reed ordered.

 After leaving his office, they headed outside both still playing their parts, acting like the concerned boyfriends. As they got outside they spotted The Authority cops who were on their way back into the station. As they passed they made eye contact with them, as one of the Officers spoke smiling.
