"Do you remember what we used to do here every year, my child?"

"I remember it, father. We used to play in the garden.. until the winter came and wiped the garden out.."

"It's okay darling, we can plant more, okay? It'll all be alright.."

"But what if they never grow back?"

"They will.. or I will sing to them until they do!" Beneth touched his daughter's nose lightly as he said this. She giggling and trying to push his hand away.

"No daddy, you can't sing! They will all run away!" she said giggling.

"Oh, come on! I'm not that bad! Serenity, do you think I am that bad?" Beneth's daughter laughed.

"You sound like a screaming cat!" she said meowing in an awful tone.

"Honey, what's that sound?" a female voice asked off from the distance. "Are you trying to sing again?" the voice asked, this time right next to Beneth.

"See? I told you so, daddy!"

"Neshta, do I really sound that bad, love? I thought my singing is what made you fall madly in love with me." he said as he swept the woman off her feet.

"Sweetheart, I think it was your good heart that drew me in, but if you want to think it was your singing, then go ahead." she said as she kissed his nose.

"Mommy, mommy! I want kisses too!" Serenity cried out.

"Okay dear." Beneth set Neshta gently back on the ground. Neshta bent down and picked up the small child and planted a kiss on her forehead. The little girl replied by throwing her arms around her mother's neck.

"I love you mommy. I love you daddy."

"We love you too." they said in unison, and they both held the child in a loving embrace.

"I love you mom.. I love you dad.." Serenity whispered once more to herself. She jolted awake and held her face, sobbing. "Not again.. please do not let the dreams come again.."
